Does Coldplay need the extra sales generated by a Mercury nomination?

 

Better not to be nominated, than to be nominated and not win, but the Mercury judges are a strange bunch (like giving Klaxons the award last year)

 

As I said - it's all a big fix.;)

I never had a strong feeling Radiohead would win, but with In Rainbows they might just have a fairly big chance.

 

Dunno why, maybe because of the massive hype surrounding its release, and the way they chose to release it.

 

 

If they won't win though, I bet Estelle will.

Not because I like her stuff, but just it 'feels' like she could win.

About time Elbow got some recognition! It's a shame they won with their worst album tho. Don't get me wrong it's got some of their best work on it but as an album it's not their best. 'Asleep In The Back' is far better along with 'Cast Of Thousands'. That's not taking anything away from Elbow they deserve everything they get, a fantastic band! Guy Garvey was made up! :dance:

Still think Burial should have won, though. Although after the fiasco with the Sun, maybe it would have been better for him not to have been nominated at all... :\
