Anyone catch the Live Lounge today..? Pendulum did their own track then covered Violet Hill - drum 'n bass stylee :)

I'm not a Pendulum fan, tho I do like the Propane Nightmare single they did, but I thought I'd make time at work to listen, cos the live lounges are always interesting. I didn't know they were gonna do Coldplay but was pleasantly surprised - very rocky. Vernon Kay played it again when I was in the car on the way home from work.

 

If anyone can get an mp3 out of this and upload, I'd be v. grateful :)

I thought it was good..especially on the second listen, but then I like songs covered in a completely different way from the original.

Same here!, I hated Pendulum before but songs like this cover, propane nightmares and the other side are good!

Ok I just discovered it's the same band I'm gonna see in a bit more than two weeks at Sziget Festival, I knew their name sounded familiar....maybe they will play it :D

I can't stand them.

 

But I'll listen to the cover, because it's coldplay,

and only because it's coldplay

 

but I swear to god if they ruin it like natasha bedingfield DESTROYED the scientist,

then I will set fire to their tour bus next time they're in newcastle! :laugh3:

I like the begninning! Through my headphones it sounded like it was spinning in a circle.... :wacko:

The singing is kind of funny :uhoh:....... it's not too bad, as their own version of it....it sounds very propane-ish though.

Did anyone else hear it?, I've been honest from the start here and sai I actually don't greatly like Coldplays music it's not that I hate them I just don't really connect with thier stuff and I asked what the attraction was, but anyway I liked the forum and stayed :)

 

To get to the point though Pendulum did a cover of Violet Hill and it's very different but for the first time I thought Violet Hill really rocked, anyway whats your views on it?
