Hey, Antonia--feeling better???

Very Important News:wink:

I just heard from Joe--HE'S ALIIIIIIIVE!:D

I texted him that we were all worried here where had he'd gone too, and he told he was busy with family visiting and the holidays, etc. He'll try to come on one of these days soon, I'm sure when holidays are over. I told him we were a bunch of worry-warts around here, missing him LOL

If you hear form him again tell him his little sister said HI.

But Im glad he is ok, and with his familiy.

cool celebrating together :nice:

i did said that many times i think it'll be so cool to organize a huge coldplayers meeting when the board will be 10 years.

so how are you celebrating NY antonia and noelia? (CookyMnstr, right?)

Im going to town square with my friends. Some band will play (wont be anywhere near good as Coldplay, but)

All together. Well would be nice. How old is the forum already? And well the problem is that we are all from different sides of world so.

yup, I'm the CookyMnstr :vampire:LOL (I actually just had a cookie!)

well, my New Year's Eve won't be that interesting--I'll be working:\. I work night-shift, and unfortunately do not have that night off. But it's ok, not too bummed out, if not I think I'd just be stuck at my parents watching TV.

You're in Spain, right? What do you guys do on New Year's? Any special traditions???

My roommate is from the Philippines, and they have to have 12 or 13 ROUND fruits for New Year's. Don't necessarily have to eat them, but it's tradition to have in the house. Which is really funny, since she's not a fruit person, so then we end up throwing them out a few days later when they go bad.

i've met my friends from high school two days ago and it was great. :cool4:

the board is from 2002 i think

well we could try to make that meeting on different countires, well is just an idea, but since we have a comittee now they could organize that don't you think? ;)

yep i'm spanish. :)

well the tradition is to eat 12 grapes at midnight when the clock bells. :)

the tv shows the clock of Madrid's Puerta del Sol.

some people goes to celebrate that on the main square of their cities, others go clubbig and others like me celebrate it at home with their families and friends.

we use to celebrate it that way (i mean my family) and then we go to meet and cheer with some neigbours and friends :)

i didn't knew about that tradition of philippines.

bad about when the fruits go bad :( your roommate could eat them before they go bad. :P or due to their tradition they can't?

you do have any tradition there noelia?

you know i've met two girls who have the same name as you, there was a song with that name so popular like in the 60's here.

btw do you speak spanish?

I was talking to Ari, yes. LOL

And Antonia, I do know you're from Croatia, and I DO know where it is:smug:. It's right next to Slovenia. Betcha wouldn't know where THAT is, if it weren't right next to you!:P (My grandparents on my dad's side are from there; I have relatives there whom I visited a few years ago.:nice:)

Ari:

I feel sometimes that everyone I know knows another Noelia. And I've NEVER EVER met another one. LOL And I thought I was special! hehe

And yes, I know about the song, 'cause it was also popular in Argentina...that's how my Mom first heard the name. But NO I wasn't named because of the song, I think she knew someone who's little girl was Noelia.:D

cooky you could be with me if you were not working, hello everyone!!! the hosts are away but we can still play

did you get my text cooky? its so wierd i just logged on and you guys are here!!! yeah

I was talking to Ari, yes. LOL

Really??? So you know all about Slovenia and Croatia and size jokes. Well we got to make fun of somebody. Even though I never got that jokes, cause there are smaller countries in the world. But....

I just thought. Well my friend is on uni Northwestern playing basketball and when someone asked him where is he from and he said Croatia, that person asked him isnt Croatia fruit so.... :D:D:D:D:D

I was talking to Ari, yes. LOL

ah ya he leido que también tienes origen esloveno :)

y yo que no tengo esas cosas en mi familia, (que yo sepa. :uhoh: )

well don't feel bad, i only know two girls, that's not so common name :D

nice name btw.

i thought the same about mine but i got to know other girls who have the same name as me so...

well my best friend name is eva maria, there's another so popular song with that name too and everybody asks her if she has been named after that song. :worried:

@ christa: hey how are you doing?

I didn't know there were size jokes between Croatia and Slovenia, but it figures LOL And to be honest, I wouldn't know where it was, and people DON'T know where it is when I tell them I'm part Slovenian. US education sucks when it comes to geography and knowing things about other countries. I will admit myself that I suck when it comes to Middle East geography. Europe, Latin American, no problem. The rest....

Croatia is like the summer destination of the area, isn't it??? I heard the beach/coast is supposed to be beautiful...

Christa...yes I did get your text, and OF COURSE I was sleeping LOL. Hey, I just saw on the Wembley thread, someone is offering tix at face value('cause they can't go):wink3: Maybe you should buy some, just in case a plane ticket pops up????

?

There are size jokes. Stupid ones, very very stupid. But...

And yes its summer destination of the area, and becoming summer destination of the rest of the Europe.

This my city.
