I'm working in a nursing home.. With elderly people who've got Alzheimers disease or other forms of dementia..

The week after this is less relaxed :( I've to work 6 days straight then.. But hey, it can't always be fun and it's good for my bank account so.. ;)

 

It really is annoying, I hope Ian can fix it..

your work week is a bit strange, have free days that randomly :\

It's a lovely job indeed.. Officially I'm still an intern.. But since I'm almost done, I took over everything from my mentor.

But I can't be hired full-time because they haven't got full-time jobs for activities counselors there.. All my colleagues are working part-time :confused:

However, there might be a job for me there, because one of my colleagues is trying to get an other function and if she gets that, I'm going to try and get the job she's leaving.. It's 22 hours a week, so not full-time..

 

It's not actual random days off, Monday used to be my day in school but since that's finished, it's my day off. And Wednesday is my usual day off:)

Sometimes I adjust my schedule a bit, if there are important things I've got to do.. Like the dentist or hospital visits or something like that.. And once in a while I have to work the weekend.. (which means more money so I don't mind at all!!) :D

Not a nurse no.. Activities counselor, don't have to wash and dress people just having fun and drinking coffee with them ;)
