:shame:

Ri.gh.t :dozey:

Hehehehe anyways, now that we're both here.. what have you been up to Chavi??

Oops sorry I was replying to the thread Lore bumped.

:P I've been up to not much actually.. the usual : friends, family..

Hester, Pris, is dinner time for me. be back soon  if you live before I come (which I hope you wont :whip:) have a nice weekend !

Hey Hester

I'll be here for about 1 1/2 more hours... i'm stuck at the office, so i've got nowhere to run :P

Enjoy your dinner Chavi! :nice:

random but after talking with an old friend of mine today.. i'm thinking what to do with my future....

i will finish my degree now (september as lastest, i hope i won't need that option).

so then i'll be free to work or keep studying....

if study i'm thinking now to take a drama course (writers course), that is 4 years (is a whole degree), and classes are at evening so i could have a job in the morning, problem is that is on another city.

i really want to do a writing course somehow, but other courses are more expensive although those finish earlier and are about a subject like poetry.

i don't know what to do, do it or not :\

any opinions about it?

it would change all my plans for future now, i wanted to get a job and move somewhere, my grandma's probably, now i don't know.

My twitter isn't working anymore.

@Pris; I replied to your question about dinner.. Considering there isn't gas and water, dinner was simple. Just bread and some salads.. I wanna go home!

@Chavi Enjoy dinner sweetie!

@Ari

It's tricky once you see yourself out of school & want to start figuring out what to do. In my case i wanted to do my masters right away, right after i finished school. I am so happy i waited. I would highly reccomend you to try and get a job first, it's the best way to figure out what you want to do with your (professional) life. You'll get a better idea of what you really like to do and would love to pursue professionally... or at least that worked for me

@Hester

Hold it... no gas or water??? :inquisitive:

Where the hell are you??? :bigcry:

I'm with the in laws, but they're renovating their kitchen. Which means it's hell to be here, we haven't even got water to flush the frigging toilet!! :bigcry:

thanks for your advice.

as i've said some months ago, i hope i'll get a job this summer... but that course is in september... and probably the summer work would be on another city..

i'm thinking i better work for a year and so do that course next year best.

but at some point i feel it would be like have wasted 4 years of my life doing my current degree, because if i'll end doing the other work in the near future (like in 10 years for instance), it would be a bit strange.

their degree is better than my current one. (current is diplomature, 3 years degree, basic degree; that other degre is licenciatura (like 5 years but they short it in 4 years), and is mastered not basic, i've seen the subjects and have both cultural, acting, and composing subjects).

i should have done that other degree since the beginning :\

I knew you were with the inlaws, but for a moment i thought they lived in a cave or something :P

Ohh, man.. that sucks!!! :\

Are you staying over?? Going back home tomorrow??

EDIT:

Ohhhhh, i thought you were doing Licenciatura Ari :\

You could try and get in touch with them... if there's any classes in that one that you already took in you current programme they might let you skip them, and it could make the career shorter for you :nice:

Yeah I'm staying over.. Worst decision ever, I should have stayed home!!

Maybe I'll go mad and go home for tonight, I can't even brush my teeth! Heaven help me, somebody abduct me or something?!

They're drilling in the walls and giving me a damn bad headache! *sigh* These are going to be the two longest days ever..!

Edit; woooops massive rant!! Sorry girls, I'll try and be a bit more uplifted okay!?

:stunned:

:stunned:

Hey Mark! And yeah, I reacted similarly when I heard they pierced the water pipe.. TWICE!! :veryangry2:

no i'm doing a diplomatura...

and most my current subjects have nothing to do with the other degree.. won't be a problem to pass them, most those things is what i did at high school, just a this is on a higher level.

i would do that as i've said, next year but i feel i've wasted 3 years of my life studying my current degree then, since that other one is what i always wanted to do :\ oh well, in the meanwhile i'll try to publish as doing drama. :)

That's ok, you don't have to be all bubbly all the time

Specially when you're having such a terrible time over there :\ I'd save you if i could, but i guess you'l just have to stick it out :( Can't you have something for your headache?? And maybe go out for a bit, so your head can get a rest from all the drilling??

I'm back.

Ari, I think what Pris said is a good advice. Take a year to work (hopefully you'll find a job quickly) and give yourself some time to think about that other course you'd like to start.

I'm still debating with myself on whether I wanna take a year off school after my license degree or not.. but I'd really like to experience having a real full time job before getting my Master's degree. I'm just afraid, I wont want to go back after that...

Hester, that really sucks!! rant as much as you want sweetie, and we're here to cheer you up!

Pris, what you doing at the office on a Sat ?

Thank you sweeties, yeah maybe I should go out for a bit.. I just wanted an quiet weekend since I've got to work 7 out of 7 next week..

and you didn't knew that before you went there hester?

:( poor you.

Well, of course, I knew they were renovating, it's been going on for months now.. I just hoped it would be almost finished now.. Ah well, shit happens!

Okay, enough about this subject!! :D

I'm back.

yes you both are right... honestly in some way i feel i'm ready myself to publish stories and all that, but i think some improvement would be ok, but 4 years? :\ may be too much.

just came my dad and i told him about it... he is a bit :\ too, says is not necesary to do that, that i better get a job and then do what i want, is not necesary to study that to be a writer, if i'm talented and have ideas to develop it'll be ok. i still don't think i'm that talented, may be i am too modest about that.

oh i would be scared for the same Chavi, what if after a year off uni you don't want to finish. :\ i guess you just have to keep in mind that it'll be just for a year and that you should finish your degree after that.

thanks girls

so how's been your week?

Quiet weekend ? you should've come here :P

edit : I think you're dad is quite right when he says you dont need to do 4 years of studies to be a writter. And as long as you try your best to publish and make people know about your work, maybe you'll manage to do it by yourself. At least, that's what I wish you!

On my way. Pick me up at the railway station will ya? ;)

Mmmmm.... a year off would be soo cool :wacky: In my case i wanted to do it, but couldn't afford it :P I say if you can pull it off, go ahead!! It's gonna be tricky to get another oportunity to do it

If you really like what you're studying then you'l go back to it one way or another.. so i don't think you should worry 'bout that :nice:

Pris, what you doing at the office on a Sat ?

"working" :P My working schedule is from monday to friday... saturday's half shift :dozey:

You really need you rest this weekend then :nice:

Maybe you should try something else Ari... not a licenciatura, 'cause it's too long but maybe as you said you can find some courses, or diplomados... something that will help you get the education that caught your eye in that other career. You're young and still got a lot of time to figure it out, so don't panic

thanks a lot  i'll do that then and hope i'll be lucky.

i'll focus on getting a job and try to publish on my own, and collaborate on some press with some articles may be. (anyways if i would do that degree i would that too at the same time).

you are right i'm yet so young to be that worried.

i think sometimes i'm not conscious about my real age

btw the answers have come *coughGuycough*

I was about to tweet about that!!
