I feel your sadness my friend, not because I share your opinions about the album, but because I know that feeling from my own years past...crushing disappointment at something you looked forward to so much. And this is a message board - not the place to all think and feel the same, but to share and try to understand our differences!!

 

Have you seen them play it live yet, though? I'd really urge you to listen, listen as much as you can and then go to see the live show. If you ever loved Coldplay there's a good chance you will fall in love with the tracks live if you haven't just from listening at home. I first saw them in 03, and Brixton and the BBC were the most incredible times since then, and Brixton certainly better!

Positives: everything! The glass is overflowing, spouting water from the top in every direction, careful where you stand or there may be injuries!!

 

Negatives: nothing - there's not even a vacuum where that empty space should be!!

I think a band can't always just put forward emotions.As a band grow,the proportion of their idea of life should be greater.No one can stay in adolescence forever.In my opinion,Coldplay has given some meaning of life they figured out.That's the most precious thing of VLVODAAHF.

 

As to Gwyneth,I think she is quite clever.She's well educated and so is Chris.They both know to respect each other's career.She rarely comment Coldplay like Chris rarely comment Shakespeare in Love or Iron Man.That's enough.I believe Coldplay are all smart people and won't split just because of Gwyneth.

What you said about emotions is so important. We get lost in them and yet we want to feel them, even the painful ones, as if we were these emotions.

 

They are useful to connect with people, and to recognize what's going on inside us,as a sort of non verbal language, but they are not all what life is about.

 

Love in that extent is more a life energy that a simple emotion that we would feel or not.

 

And music can carry a lot of emotions, but indeed, as is the case with VLVODAAHF, it can carry much more meaning, and healing, as it appears with the fact that the album seems to "grow" on people at every listening.

Actually my comment is not about Chris and Coldplay splitting because of her or fighting because of her or She's going to be a Yoko ono as some one said in this thread.

 

But my objection is from every where from her career to his career the attention given by media is quite more.

 

Like if i married to Chris and also i am a very big actress like her i know that my topics are going to be discussed from my career,my home and everything.

 

But when they're doing their job its some times good for me to not to go every where they go, or not to interfere in all the things all the four do.

 

And especially when it comes to media i have to be carefull.

About China, my uncle has been there before the olympics, they call him laowai, and he had a great time with the people. (He is 65 years and went around with a backpack.)

Yes.Sometimes I even have an impulse to cry when I see an athlete finish something full of difficulties.

about the positive points:

 

their most strongest point is they all are good friends and they understand each other perfectly.If any one are in problems they all help each other.

 

best example is when the bbc 6 music interviewer is twisting Chris to tell some thing that he don't like to say,and he went off from there feeling stressed,

 

then Will immediately took over his part and stood for the rest of the interview explaining things to the interviewer.

 

Chris himself said once in a 95.5 wplj interview in NY recently that if he doesn't like to speak he's lucky that he's in a band and he'll hand it over to the others and they'll take their part.

 

Because of only this i had hope that Chris's wife will not become a reason for their split,because they all are college friends and there from the beginning of the period they all formed coldplay and will definitely understand the problems and situations of the band well.

 

 

while making music also there will not be any conflicts between them,they all will discuss with each other and also chris will do anything if will agrees.

 

Chris while introducing his bandmates will introduce them as his best friends.And he made the drummer sing at the concerts introducing him.

i think that in this forum there are a lot of people who like Gwyneth.

 

Okay i understand when some one who doesn't like your favorite film star or any star makes some comment you may get irritated.

Secondly,I think that family is very important to a human,even an artist.I don't want Chris be single,and I do think Ms Gwyneth Paltrow is suitable to be Mr Chris Martin's wife.Yes she IS famous,and inevitably some annoying people will keep asking coldplay about her.But I think Gwyneth has some virtue that won't let her become Yoko.She's clever,silent and know to respect others.Yes Chris can find a normal person to become his wife.But unfortunately he didn't.And I think before married John Lennon,Yoko was normal too.That saved nothing.And everything has happened,so,I think I should make myself relieved and relaxed,but not worried and tight,just like torture.Maybe it's just a kind of Chinese optimism,whatever.

a last and final comment about Chris's family from me here:

I think that Coldplay's most positive thing today is that they have grown (up) instead of dying, like so many talented, hypersensitve artists we love(d) have unfortunately done.
