Aleluvscp
negative: higher expectations from their label which could stress them a bit and the difficulty fans have now in order to meet the band. positive: like chris said.. they "can't get bigger" so they might as well "get better".. that's always a good thing. Pseudonym
Positives: Better, more original sound, no more getting beat up on the playground:P Negatives: Personal and honest feel somewhat lost, over-produced music, Chris in that One Hour interview or whatever where they were in the bakery and he seemed really weird

CRYSTAL
negatives i want to say one thing each and everything of Coldplay from their websites ,to music comparisions to other bands and lyrics and what ever there is no necessity to have gwyneth in this. She's only Chris's wife that's all. And for each and every matter there's no need to add her name in everything they do. if you want to compare them to other bands then you have to see what sort of music they make, but not who they've married and tabloids. And yeah if they want to add her name in everything then equally they have to add other band members wife and their family members names too. if they're not doing so for others then just adding only her name is pretty ridiculous to see. As a music band they does a lot of things from charity, selling their albums, merchandise everything, writing lyrics, composing music, play radio,tv,arenas everything like other bands and go to lot of places in world. but for each and everything they do necessarily they are adding always gwyneth's name. this is pretty stupid and weird that always makes me angry. Mimixxx
Chris in that One Hour interview or whatever where they were in the bakery and he seemed really weird Weird how? I'm only asking because I didn't pick up on it. He seemed serious for once, not making stupid jokes every five minutes, but I think that was because he liked the interviewer and felt he didn't have to put his defences up. He said something like: "It's nice to be interviewed by someone who knows what they're doing for once"

As I was watching it I realized how Chris was changing and I wasn't sure I liked some of the "new Chris".If you could find the link I could tell you specifically. CRYSTAL
positive bit is: Chris's beautifully written lyrics in songs which makes the people who listens to them can feel happy for some time forgetting the bad time they have. Their music is so light not like metal rock bands. And we can use their music for different situations in life. if any people who hate them or like them we just don't need to care because obviously people have their own opinions and stuff. We just don't need to worry about critics and others who gives a shit about them. The people can like them in thier own way. These are really the things i like them. And yeah i also like Chris because he's not a drinker and drug addict like some of the other bands.

Okay :) He's seemed okay since though I think (other than the walking out thing ). I think he was far more nobheadish during the X&Y stuff than he is now. ricardo
p Their music is so light not like metal rock bands. And we can use their music for different situations in life. oh yes good point... they are a band so real with a mellow and good but not cheesy sound... they still lack some musicianship to be flawless (well in my opinion) negative: now that coldplay is really famous when they talk about them they don't talk about their music... they talk about their lives and all that stuff. Besides they have lost some passion
CRYSTAL
negative: now that coldplay is really famous when they talk about them they don't talk about their music... they talk about their lives and all that stuff. Besides they have lost some passion in my opinion i want to say that Chris married gwyneth that's fine. Like some other people i haven't seen anything negativity in it. But the only thing i find weird is that She's older than him. ok no one can do nothing for it ,if it is so.:laugh3: She's a hollywood A listed actress and what ever she does her home or movies or fashions that she do are all given here in this forum all the news they talk here from rumours to her stuff about family and her other commitments with friends. But no one are actually interested in talking about the music coldplay makes eventhough this is the place for that. And also Gwyneth is so highlighted in everything being an actress and also in all the things Coldplay do. Some times i really feel that Coldplay are getting this sort of reputation in world because of her.:stunned:
Fixed
I don't claim to know everything about the singer/songwriter in all the bands I like, but it seems the bigger Coldplay get, the less I know about WHO Chris Martin actually is. I know it's nice to let the listener interpret songs themself etc etc, but Chris, as funny, nice and charming as he is, has this sort of egg-shell exterior that I just want to crack open. branshi_baby
Chris has said himself that everyone in his life has to do with being in the band. He wouldn't be the way he is now, or have the things he has if it wasn't for Coldplay. Including Gwyneth. Gwyneth is just a name that happens to be famous. If she wasn't famous, maybe he would have still fallen in love with her. Let's forget that she's a famous actress, she's above all his wife and the mother of his children, fo God's sake. He doesn't see her as an actress, he sees her for who she is. The paparazzi and all the press always try to basically ruin that, but props for them for not giving in to the pressure. Chris' job is Coldplay. He's said so himself. I know I can't talk for him, but I'm sure he feels he just happened to have a job which he enjoys doing. And a part of why he does it is to feed his family. Just like any other man on this planet. I'm sure if Chris wasn't a famous rock star, he'd still be a regular man working every day to put food on his family's tables. And that's exactly what he's doing every time he's up on a stage. There's absolutely no reason to mix up his family with his job. I do agree with that. But let's face it, the paparazzi will never stop annoying celebrities. And we're all a little guilty of it too because we're always the ones who look at the paparazzi's pictures. Why? Because there's something about wanting to see if famous celebrities are just like us. We like to see any celebrity buying groceries, driving around, and even spending time with their family, because that's what we all have to do every day. And that makes us think "Wow, at the end of the day, they're really just like us." Chris does need to relax a little bit though. He's always so on the defensive about his family, which I don't blame him. But since he knows they're not going to stop taking pictures of him, he might as well just keep enjoying his life the best way he can and ignore them as much as ossible. It comes with the job, even though it shouldn't. I'm sorry for the rant, btw. :(
Tarkovsky2
Positives- More relaxed negatives- less artists more entertainers and no more THINGS YOU CAN"T EXPLAIN(LIKE WHEN CHRIS SINGS DAYLIGHT OR A RUSH A BLOOD) BUT WHEN YOU HEAR IT YOU FEEL SO GREAT, FULL WITH EMOTIONS, THAT"S WHAT COLDPLAY WAS ABOUT AND NOW IT's JUST VIVA LA VIDA< BEAUTIFULL SONGS BUT WITHOUT REAL EMOTIONS< JUST CONFETTI< MASK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VIVA LA VIDA =================SENSATION!!!!!!!THAT"S ALL< JUST ENTERTAINING WITH STYLE< BUT NO ART!!!!!!!

And one thing more whether we want to see a paparazzi picture or not we actually know that they are regular human beings like all others in this planet and also they live the life like you and me. There is no necessity just to see the paparazzi picture there. Then if i am married my life is not there in paparazzi pictures but still every one can understand me everyday what i am doing like others without paparazzi pictures. Mimixxx
She was there the other day sitting in the audience with all us regular people :P The children don't come along because they're only 2 and 4, can't be staying up until 12am everynight. She's been staying in New York though and he's been travelling back there on his days off. It's important to make time for your family. They all make time for their family, Chloe and Violet were in Toronto and there was those pictures of Marianne and the twins in New York :nice:
CRYSTAL
but there is something here i just can't agree but time will decide everything in this world. what actually the correct thing to do. just arguing with other people is a waste of time. Mimixxx
Okay, but there's no point getting upset about it. It is what it is. He fell in love with a famous girl and there's crap that goes along with that. The media attention is nothing compared to what it what was. Especially since Chris is (arguably) far more famous than she is these days. If it really bothers you so much then just treat it like the bad reviews and ignore it. It doesn't change the fact the you love Coldplay does it? So just ignore it and enjoy the music ;) :)
Death Hill
positives: *Easy to find Coldplay stuff anywhere and everywhere because they're so big *lots of people I can talk to, because they're so famous *they can make music for as long as they want to because they've made such a fortune in sales and touring *If they were some group of unknowns I might never have found out about them negatives: *high ticket prices *they're a victim to a lot of *extra* harsh criticism just because they are so successful and popular
