USA Elections

Featured Replies

Attempt 3:

Simple question, come November, imagining that you are of legal voting age and can vote in the American elections, who would you vote for?

Not a clue... I can't even imagine who I'm going to vote for in my own counrtries elections, let alone in the US poll.

Are there any decent leaders out there?

Can't beat the Monster Raving Loony Party

I wonder if anyone fell for Browns droing rubbish speach, somehow I doubt it he's too far gone now, in regards to the US elections I would probably vote for Obama only because he seems less of a war mongerer and that can only be a good thing.

Yeah, but he's been a senator for five minutes! It worries me to think that you can get to the White House so quickly...

Don't get me wrong I agree with you, I just think he's the preferable option when you look at Mcain and 'I wouldn't rule out a war with Russia' Palin, I would rather those two were as far from any big red buttons as possible.

When did not ruling out a war turn into "i'm going to invade russia"?

Any inteligent leader would keep all option on the table, it's called having a open mind? Obama would do the same.

The problem being in my opinion anyway, Palin and Mcain arn't particularly inteligent, Putin however is, and will probably be well prepared for an American ground invasion, I have no interest in seeing the start of WW3, if it's thier intention to go back to hostile relations with Russia then I would rather they lost the election it's as simple as that.

Not a clue... I can't even imagine who I'm going to vote for in my own counrtries elections, let alone in the US poll.

I guess most of the decent ones don't get to be leaders. :(

I think we would have been better asking who do you think will win.. Considering half of the board members are outside the US.

BTW McCain gets my vote, only due to him being more convincing in public speeches.. I don’t think Ombama will be able to handle the credit crisis. Also he is a bit of a pacafist with his foreign Policy, at least with McCain we know where we stand !

people there will be no 2008 elections in the U.S bush will declare martial law and a national emergencey and cancel elections! after a economic collapse and/or another gov't sponsered terrorist attack on america! this will all happen on OCT.7 mostly likley

but it could happen alittle later another date is OCt.15 ?

who would you vote for?

David, is this a serious question? :laugh3: :P

hahaha no. I promise this will not happen, specially with a democratic lead congress. This economic problem will help McCain in the elections.

Cant have the US under martial law... the next step would all out nuclear war ! with the russians

ok well i dont mean to insult you but just remember what i siad by the way congress has no power what so ever! the powerful eltie control everything this nation is not a democracy the people have no say the elections are fixed there will be no elections!

. This economic problem will help McCain in the elections.

Martial law would mean were concerned with our own nations, we wouldn't be able to conduct a war under martial law becuase all the focus would be on American soil.

saying the economic problem will help mccain in the election is just blatantly ignorant. there have been dozens of polls that have been released which ask "who do you trust more when it comes to the economy?" and it usually comes back somewhere around 65% for obama and 35% for mccain. plus without those polls its a known fact even by mccain supporters that his weakness is the economy. he was very recently quoted as saying our economy was fine. plus he voted with bush 90% of the time which is who is responsible for getting us in this mess. so please... id really LOVE to know how you think the economic crisis helps mccain in anyway.

go here.. i cant say how legit it is, but you can view the candidates and see where either one stands on certain subjects.

everyone has different views on what they believe to be best for this country.

But all I can say is. If you can vote... vote!

The biggest problem I have with McCain is his willingness to cave to the powers-that-be; on economics, endless wars break nations. And he's cuddled up to the old Bush donors, some of the worst actors to grace the economic stage since Boss Tweed's machine in NY.

Percent change by 2012 in the after-tax income of the top 0.1 % of US earners under Barack Obama's tax plan: -5

Percent change under John McCain's tax plan: +12

So if everything goes according to plan, it looks like McCain will reward the super-rich, and probably put more of the burden on the working class; Obama, at least according to his plan, would increase the taxes on the super-wealthy, and lower the taxes on workers.

Borris Badenov - because Badenov ig Goodenough!

Maybe older polls but as time goes by McCain has a lot of ammo on Barack for his stance on wall street and his friendship and money recieved from wall street and these companies going under. Not only that but McCain had a much harder stance on wall street regulations if i heard correctly. He'll use this to get the edge on the issue. All Obama has going for himself is a rock start status, no real history of anything good, just an image and bad decisions in the past.

Which brings me to my question besides being a great speaker and good looking lad, why do people like Obama? What has he done in the past that is so great? When I look up his past all i see is corruption, him stepping over the little man to get his friends rich and not many accomplishments.

The things you complain about McCain, Obama is also guilty of. In baracks short history he's already spent time rewarding the very rich at the cost of the poor. On top of rewarding the super rich both candidates will make the middle class harder to be.

Obama's not going to tax the wealthy because they are the ones paying for his campaign and the ones who will do special favors for him. His very close relationship to wall street shows this. He'll talk of socialism but in the end all his eyes see's are money signs.

What has he done in the past? I can't find many good things, only corruption and bowing to the rich while talking about helping the poor. At least McCain is more open about this.
