Hey Lore, I've not been keeping up with all the tour news - did anything come of those South American rumours?

well.. there have been a few rumors about a big stadium tour date in november here... but there are also rumors about a latin american tour in april...

 

I'm sure they will come here anyway... the 2007 latin american tour was awesome and showed them the big an base that they have here :D

@ alison: i'm just back at uni, which is probably my least favorite place in the world to be. i'm not ready to go back to doing work that i don't care about and waking up early and being away from home and living with a bunch of stupid drunk teenagers. i'm more depressed about it than i should be, but it's really getting me down. i don't know how much more of this i can handle :P.

 

but YES, inaugaration tuesday and *hopefully* a postcards update this week. and i hope to find out that i'm officially going to england next year, too.

it still exists somewhere, though, right? it wasn't deleted or merged? because someday i want to go back through the project creation process :wacky:. it's just that this one is more convenient to post in, and i'm the chief breaker of the "THIS THREAD IS FOR QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROJECT ONLY" rule :lol:

I was thinking last night, I don't know if anyone has already considered this but, what if they display some or all of the postcards after they've looked at them in The bakery or somewhere!!! That's what people often do in their workplaces don't they, pin up postcards that their friends have sent them??

I'm not sure about doing this again... if you want to send him a postcard you can send it anyway .. because the po box it's now the official mailing address. In fact it's a nice idea to send him a postcard for his birthday!

I was there too and it's so great to hear a live performance of a concert you've actually been to ....

i agree with lore, i don't think we should do this type of thing again as an organized project, but i think it's really nice to send postcards to them whenever you want :nice:. i'll probably send another next christmas just to be nice, but i think if we did this same thing again, it wouldn't be as cool, and it wouldn't be a surprise.

 

@ alison: haha, i definitely realize that there are drunk teenagers in england too. the difference is that i won't be sharing a room with one over there, and lots of my personal dynamics will change, hopefully making it into a better year altogether.

and that's a good point too, about making debs go nuts if we did this project again...she's done so much for us already, i don't think we should push it :P. even when this whole project started i didn't want to have to ask debs for anything because i didn't want us to be a burden, but she was nice enough to go along with it, so i think doing another round would be asking a bit much.

 

but i certainly plan to send them a bit more mail in the future, just on my own :D

I do too, and I think the postcards from far away will carry on for a while too, just cards coming in late, and new people from here who still want to send something

Ooooooh, I have a great fantasy for what they do with our cards.....it would be awesome if they wrote an extended full version of "Postcards", then put all the cards in a montage for a video that they post on Coldplay.com .....a fangirl can dream can't she?......(I'm actually thrilled with whatever Debs has planned')
