Postcards From Far Away project | Previous pre-delivery discussion (thread closed)

haha, is there any chance the project could get its own section or sub-section, just for a while? :sneaky: i think it would make things a hell of a lot easier.

then again, we'd get millions of threads asking questions in it, but whatever. just an idea; i don't even know if that's possible.

OMG SO EXCITED. i really have to get thinking about what i'm going to WRITE, though. i feel like i have my ideas for the cards themselves together and will print them this weekend, but i don't want to be too mushy or too "OMG I LOVE YOU" on the card--i want it to be meaningful

I already know what i'm gonna put on my postcard  Yaay !

I'll send something like this :wacky:

OMG CHRIS YOUR EYES ARE SO BLUE MARRY ME YOU'RE SO SEXY RAWR

:uhoh:

7. If sending by airmail, make sure you attach an 'airmail' sticker on the written side adjacent to the address. Otherwise your postcards will probably be sent by sea, and arrive weeks or not months too late!

don't they do this for you at the postoffice when you ask them to put on the correct postage? if not, then i'll add it to the list :D

(do you mean airmail sticker rather than email sticker? just checking )

They probably do in many, if not all countries, I guess. But I've had busy staff forget before and have had to remind them. Also, some people might buy the stamps and take them home to attach later and send from a local letterbox (I've made that mistake too many times in the past as well!). It's not a rule by itself as such, but perhaps some sort of little reminder would be best?

Is it also worth mentioning you can put two postcards in an envelope if you want to protect them a bit better, or save on postage?

Other than that, great work Chelsea :)

'Email sticker'? Whatever do you mean??

(Edited hehe, thanks a lot :embarassed::D)

i put the thing about airmail in the rules document, under the part about bringing the cards to the post office. thanks for that! :D

i feel like it might be MORE expensive to put two cards in an envelope, but that's just me and might only apply in the US. to mail an envelope within the US, it's like around 45 cents, but to mail one postcard, it's around 15 cents, so two postcards are cheaper than one envelope. might not hold true everywhere, though, so it's a thought!

I love Debs and I love you Lore and I love the guys and I love all Coldplayers:D

:nice:DITTO!
