I suggested on the main thread, and others liked the idea, that perhaps we could choose the seal ourselves, either from all of those submitted (and they are all excellent so far), or from a group of the most popular - say, five (just for example). I don't think this lessens the impact of the project as a whole myself - it just brings more variety and colour to the postcards as a whole I think (which is exactly what the band are all about themselves these days).

 

Any thoughts? I post this again here because my original comment was probably lost among the hundreds of pages!! (And thus it's really a question about the suggestion :D)

 

lore and i are conferring about this. even if we do select one logo, we can't FORCE everyone to use it, and people will probably use their own anyway. personally, i think that it'll still be nice to vote on ONE to put on the official coverletters and to *encourage* people to use, but we're not going to be nazis about it :P

 

I'm so excited! I want to send my postcard as soon as possible! Could someone tell me where do I have to send the postcard and when? I'm from Argentina, and it takes a lot of time to send a postcard to the other side of the world, you know.

we're hoping to work in conjunction with ian and get a PM to every single member once the address is announced, but i have to check back with ian to see if that's possible.

 

is an mark with AIRMAIL required if i send the card from Germany?

would it be the easiest way to design my own postcard on the pc, print this out, and adhere it to the front side of a normal postcard?

will there be a news entry on the main page of coldplaying.com when Debs' P.O. box is known?

 

i'm not entirely sure about airmail from germany, but it's probably a good idea to be safe.

 

if you print your on postcard on the computer, you can easily just stick some white paper to the back, write the destination address on the right and your message on the left :D. postcards generally need to follow a format rather than an official template.

 

"Please send your postcards by AIRMAIL and that you receive and attach the appropriate stickers at the post office." That was said in the guidelines above. Is it still 0,65€ then?

When will we receive a mailing address from Debs? I'm so excited, i can't wait to write the postcard and send it to them

 

we're currently waiting on an address from debs. we'll post it as soon as everything else is in order (note that it's not necessarily going to be posted right when we receive it), but there will almost positively be an address posted by november 1. be sure to check back here then.

alison's right, though; debs might not even KNOW the address till next monday. i think we should wait until the middle of next week before getting *too* antsy, but i know how hard that is.

i think we should set up a poll to vote on ONE to use in all official things, but make it clear that everyone's pretty much free to use whichever one they really want if they feel so inclined, since they all get the point across.

she replied to us very quickly before, but i think that because the PO box takes time to set up, we just have to wait until like, next monday at the soonest. hopefully it wont take till the monday after that :\
