ok well i refuse to think about them ever retiring, but then at some point they will die (coldplay aren't immortal although we all love to believe they'll be around forever)

if i had the chance to speak to a band member, i'd bitch slap them for suggesting retiring, then give them a nice big kiss for starting the band in the first place. then i'd spend the next 14 minutes convincing them i'm sane and fending off security, but anyway

i can't see them retiring just yet, to me it feels like they've still got stuff left in them and VLV is just a starting point

If they retire I'd be quite devastated for a while as soon as I realise that it means that there will be no music coming from them again...

I don't know what I would say to them, because I have so much to say! Basically, something like: Thank you for all the great you've done to my life and the inspiration, joy, pleasure, self-confidence and much more you've given with your musically intelligent, brilliant music and your presence, the best band in the world.

It would make me sad, but I just don't think they could stay away from it. They love it too much.

If there's one thing it would be for making genuinly beautiful music at a time when there has been some horrific artists around.

I would be devistated, I would be in denial and very angry ( I wouldnt be angry at them, I just express myself alot better in anger somehow :P) (I'm not an angry person though, dont think that!!), and I would cry so much. I'm not a weepy person, but damn Coldplay make me freaking cry everytime :P! So if they would retire, my emotions would go haywire, definitly. But then I would calm down and remember all the great things they have done for me, all the happiness and joy, and how they make the crappiest day a much better day :nice:!

 

And then out of the blue someday, I would just burst into tears again :P.
