that's what i was thinking....

you happen to be the stand guy on the first line, on the left side of the pic, the one wearing a white cap with two black stripes, number 38?

btw aren't we going off-topic now? :inquisitive:

Wrong. I'm the one "half-kneeling" next to him. That was my "comeback" race following my broken ankle.

I'm much fitter again now, and in training for next April's London Marathon.;)

Made of reindeer hide??:P

Anyway, as you're Finnish (and therefore regularly jump naked into freezing lakes), surely you could easily withstand any temperatures the UK can throw at you even if you weren't wearing any clothes at all!!

I'm in the photo somewhere, too!:D

Yeah, reindeer hide indeed ;) I could bring you own reindeer hides, if you want! :laugh3::laugh3: But what's the point, when I could come naked right away :laugh3:

I was guessing that number 38, too

:stunned: Wonder what the band would make of that??:P

Well you guessed wrong!!:smug:

i wasn't that bad at guessing then :P taking into account that i've seen only a pic of you..

i was thinking that you must be the number 38 or the guy next him. :)

yay marathon

:stunned: Wonder what the band would make of that??:P

In that case, you can stay!!:P

again and i had only seen a pic of you before and the pic you've posted here is not so close so to identify someone easily :uhoh:

Here's what a "sea of yellow" can look like. It's a photo of my running club taken last year.:D

ahhh my eyyyyyyyyyeeees :dead:

nah, i agree about the sticking to one color, and i'm fine with that color being yellow, really, it just wouldn't be my personal first choice and i'm being stubborn :P. i also agree that we should just all stick to one color to make finding each other easier, and to appear as a united unit on whatever recordings the band decides to make :sneaky: :P

Maybe we could do a commemorative shirt available at cafe press - one that's less day glo for general everyday wear:lol:

The point is that yellow makes sense as it stands out more than any other colour.;)

I'm glad the "yellow shirts" idea appears to be gaining support.

The last time I suggested it there were quite a few people who were against it because they didn't want to be seen in yellow/wasn't their colour etc, so it didn't happen.

Surely even if you're a mega "fashion victim" you could put your colour prejudices on hold for one day for the sake of "the team"??

i hope you know i was 99% kidding, mark . i would wear it if it was puke-green :P. i was more thinking about what could be done design-wise with the color yellow than what i'd look like in it, since it's harder to print certain colors on a yellow shirt.

since we're probably going to be doing this through cafepress, i found this shirt so far:

thoughts? i don't think that we'll be able to get much brighter than that :P

That's just as bright as it should be! Great!! :P

The only thought I've really had about them was having little flags representing the countries of coldplayers present (on the back of the shirt) - would be nice...something that shows the international-ness of the effort

^i was thinking something like that too, or that somehow every person could get a patch or a sticker of their flag and put it on their sleeve :wacky:

the thing is, regardless of what yellow looks like in a fashion-victim sense, choices are more limited for design and color if we're using that color shirt.

that would be great Mel

still i think we could design an official coldplaying flag with the colours i've said, a colour for each coldplay album. :)

(yellow, green, white, violet).

edit:

@ chelsea:

i'll bring my spanish flag which is a bit huge :wacky:

i know that rush (ana) will bring a portuguese flag too.

I think it would be easier, if everyone could somehow tie their flag in to the shirt.

yeah, that's what i meant, if everyone could get a flag patch or sticker and put it on their sleeve, it would be much easier :D (in addition to having full-size flags to wave at the concert )

Yea, we could. :nice: But i'm going to bring the Finnish flag besides coldplaying flag. Maybe it's possible, that coldplaying flag would be in the otherside of the flag, and in the other would be the country flag? :D

yep, it would. :) and i don't think that it would be so difficult to everyone to get a flag patch or sticker or something of their countrys. :nice:

At cafepress are you charged per color for printing? The color of the shirt is going to be the main thing that is going to get us noticed from the stage - anything on the shirt is clearly just for fun and for us.:D

Ok, concerning the yellow t-shirts / flag ideas. Here's the deal.

Being the second brightest colour behind white, I understand why you might think that yellow would be a good choice for the colour of a t-shirt. The thing is, yellow is a COLOUR, and white is NOT. Having to design for a yellow t-shirt severely limits what can be done with the design that will eventually be printed on the shirt, because it is such an imposing colour. Unless we want a boring black and white design pasted on the front of it, I don't think its such a viable option.

Now, if people really want to wear bright t-shirts to this thing, the next best thing is white. Sure, not as eye poppingly bright as that yellow, but with a white t-shirt, the absence of any one colour opens up a whole world of possibilities when it comes to the actual design that will dominate the front. Even saying this, I would probably say that a darker, or a more neutral colour like faded red, navy blue or black would be much more suited to accomodating a design. That way, we can can have bright designs on darker t-shirts that stand out and look awesome at the same time :D

All I'm saying is, if you really want to get noticed by the band, you might as well turn up wearing one of those flourescent yellow jackets -- that will solve all your worries. For the rest of us, I think people will eventually appreciate how cool the t-shirts would look with less garish colours, and I think they can still look awesome without burning people's eyes out :P.

And one more thing, about the flags - I think someone mentioned that bringing along big flags might block people's view of the stage, so maybe those smaller, hand held flags would be better to wave around at the concert so everyone gets a decent view :nice:
