but 'barmy army' is.

and 'barmy' is such an old word anyway. Nobody really uses it these days.

Well the Barmy Army do!!:P

Anyway, "Yellow" Army would work just as well.

^I think we should avoid any reference to the colour of the t-shirts in the title, for now :P

At least until we figure out exactly whats going to be happening with them.

I havn't got any decent titles to suggest printing on the shirts myself yet, but keep brainstorming by all means!

a-chan (sorry, I don't know your name:embarassed:)

As for making it easier to find other coldplayers though, I was under the impression that we would all try to meet up in the same place, either before or after the concert, which is when we would all get to know each other :nice:.

My name is Aurélie ^^

Well I know we can't all be on the same spot or meet at the same time/place. I speak for me, but for example, I won't be able to spent the night outside queueing, so I'm gonna get at the stadium as early as I could the saturday morning and it depends on the person who's with me (and I don't think he will be ok to queue at 4 AM XD)... But as mc_squared said:

I think there'll be more than enough of us gathered in one or more parts of the stadium, and you'd still be able to spot everyone else dotted around.;)

It would be easier to spot 'grapes' of coldplayers in the crowd.

>>And stupid question but what 'barmy' means??

Well if anyone has any other suggestions, I'd be able to pitch "Coldplaying's Barmy Army" and "Coldplaying's Yellow Army" against them.

Or if you like, "Coldplaying's Crazy Army" instead of Barmy. How about that?

Crazy. It goes well with "Army".

But you could also have Crazy Army or Crazy Club or Clan.

Good ideas.. tell every idea you even consider. From the wildiest ideas, generally comes the great one. :P

i can see this turning into a way-too-heated battle over T-SHIRTS . we're not deciding the fate of a country or anything :P. it's going to be awesome regardless of the shirt color and slogan.

i think that we should continue to make suggestions, and if semy's still willing to design a tshirt by the time he gets around to it and the date is closer and all that, then he should design something and post it here. then we can all make suggestions about it (or do like we did with the postcards project and vote on a couple different designs or something) and go from there.

since all of this is still so far away, it *might* be a bit premature for a voting thread and all that, but if people want to start gathering all the ideas now, i'd be willing to help organize that

No time to waste, I'd say. The sooner we can get this done the better.

Let's just agree on the colour and take it from there...........................

Actually, Coldplaying's Crazy Club goes well with Coldplaying Charity Club, as they have the same initials. Just a thought!:idea2:

What's the rush for, exactly?

We're 8 months away from the concert. Thts PLENTY of time for everyone to exchange their ideas, and the more ideas, the better.

I'm sure there are plenty of people here who have yet to contribute their ideas, so we should wait a while to allow that to happen, I think

The process should begin as soon as possible, as the sooner a design can be agreed on and created, the sooner people will be able to start ordering.

The time will go quicker than you think.

such a rush to do nothing at all, such a fuss to get nowhere at all... :P

But we have plenty of time, that's true. It would be nice to hear everyones ideas, who have some. Then we could choose one of them, or combine them.

are you guys talking about a design for the t shirts. i would just have text no pictures all the same size and font.

they would still kow we were together if they were the same and had pictures but if it was just writing saying "coldplaying army" or Coldplay's Army or that it would look better with just text

i think we should vote on two things: slogan/name and overall designs once they're created. i just think that we should leave the visuals up to visual people (ie, anyone who wants to try a hand at designing) and then vote on the designs as a whole once they're created (and they probably won't all be ready and people probably won't even bother starting designing until the date comes closer...people are generally procrastinators :P). the way we did this for the postcards project worked out very well, and we could have it be the same way where if anyone feels REALLY strongly about something, they can use whichever design they want :D. that way, everyone gets what they want, because if people are being adamant about things THIS far away from the date, imagine what it's going to be like when it's july or august!

Haha, it's so funny how obsessive he is about making sure everyone knows it's 'his' idea...

Totally agree. :D

I think you're being unnecessarily rude. We're all having a friendly discussion here. That's uncalled for IMO.;)

I agree with that!

Is it just me or 'Colplayins sthg Army' sounds a little bit like 'Dumbledore's Army' (no, I'm not obsessed with Harry Potter XD)

I don't know, the word 'army' seams a bit 'harsh'...(I don't know, I'm picturing a non colplayer at the gig and seeing 'coldplaying's army' on someone's t-shirt seems bit 'i'm gonna screw if you take my place in line'! (even if it can be true on some levels...XD)

What about something like 'Coldplayers united front'?? Giving the idea of something we do together 'peacefully'

Agreed. :)

I just remember how long it took to get things organised last time around, that's all.

Remember that depending on where you are in the world, orders can take up to a month to be dealt with.

Eight months sounds like a long time at the moment, but it'll soon fly be, believe me.

So let's see what happens. It isn't something that's going to keep me awake at night.;)

^ my first thought was dumbledore's army too!

that's probably why i'm not so hot on the name, just because it makes me think of harry potter and not coldplay (though i LOVE harry potter )
