December 10, 200817 yr can I just butt in here and say--this thread is crazy.:o:lol: I gotta keep up with reading every.day. 'cause if I miss just one, I"ll be going through pages&pages of "yellow-blank(tees,ponchos,etc)" talk and squueees, and now Star Wars related puns LOL.:rolleyes2: Just some quick random thoughts, 'cause don't have time right now to look up and quote each person, sorry... --I HATE the color yellow. But I LOVE the idea of all of us coldplayers standing out from the rest of the crowd:D. So put my vote down for yellow tees! It might be cheesy, but I don't mind looking silly for one day--I think someone said how they don't mind sacrificing "fashion," to be part of our crazy coldplaying group!(the yellow rain ponchos is also not a bad idea, since they're kinda see-through, so shirts could still be visible, and the band CAN.NOT. miss a group of yellow ppl, even if it's clusters here&there in standing sec. in front.--if we can't all go in at the very same time, or we split into Jonny/Chris-Will/Guy sides. --Chelsea, I see that you had in mind a pretty, colorful design for text on the shirts, but I don't think it has to be so complicated. We just have to come up with something clever...it's more for us, than to be visible from far, anyway. --RE: putting our names on back of tee, it's cute, but I don't like this idea, 'cause it has a high probability in excluding someone:\. What if ppl decide after our deadline for designing shirts that they can go to show? Or get last minute tix?? It wouldn't be fair to them. And I think this whole thing with shirts, etc, is about including people and feeling like a unit... What I suggest though, is that we get ONE tshirt, and write everyone's name/screen name who was there, and send it to the band. With a card saying something like "THANK YOU FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT! from the coldplaying group--remember us in the bright yellow???":lol: --I love the "HELLO MY NAME IS" stickers. I thought of that a while ago, but was too shy/lazy to post hehehe.(again Chelsea, great minds think alike;)) It'll be an easy&cheap way for all of us meeting up to recognize each other...unless we print a paper with our pics&names as a guide LOL. Ok, gotta run, but if I think of anything, I'll ran back and post:lol: oh and SQUUUUUEEEEE:P
December 10, 200817 yr ^:lol:. i was kinda kidding about the nametag stickers, but it would make things easier, i guess :P yeah, i don't like the names idea either precisely for that reason. it's easy to physically do, but that's not the problem as people have suggested. it's all about the exclusion possibility, and that would be sad. as for the tshirts themselves, i think it would be best if we just ran a design contest later in late spring like we did for the postcards project and leave all matters to anyone who wants to try and submit a design. i'm all for what the majority rules are, i don't care if that means we show up in potato sacks or pleather catsuits. it just seems like the whole thing was getting petty and too hyped up too fast to bother working things out the way we had it going, so i think we should vote on full designs rather than every little aspect of it. if we go on about every aspect, someone's always going to be unhappy.
December 10, 200817 yr I am sure some of us here were at this show but found this and just thought for research purposes it might be helpful: Review - Muse - Wembley Stadium - 17th June 2007: We got to Wembley at about 11:30am after a 2 hour journey from the South Coast. That's when the queuing started. The walk from Wembley Park tube station down Wembley Way to the new Wembley stadium was spectacular. The Wembley staff were helpful in keeping everyone informed and we found out at about 12pm that we would be guaranteed to get into the Golden Circle at the front of the general standing area. After sitting around wondering if it was going to rain or trying to stay out of the burning sun (when it was out) everyone got up at about 1.30pm in anticipation of the doors opening at 2.15pm. The wait for the doors to open seemed to take for ever, but they were finally opened at about 3pm (45 minutes late). Everyone rushed in and quickly made their way to the front of the stadium, briefly stopping at the top of the stairs as soon as you enter the bowl to take a look around at the sheer size of the stadium. Once in the golden circle the staff made us stay standing until it was full and then the gates were shut. December 10, 200817 yr Hahah i know coldplay put a great show too but muse is pure rock , that gig in chile was the best gig in my entire life and they didnt even have all the screens and effects they had in wembley so i can imagine how amazing was to be in the gig we watch in the dvd :dead: But back on topic, i'm so jealous of those who're gonna see coldplay at wembley next year :disappointed:
