19-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos

Featured Replies

it won't be block 144, because that's what ticketmaster offered me a couple of days ago when i was being curous as to any remaining club wembley tickets. £253 a ticket in that block :shocked2:

I'm hoping for good seats because I paid middle-rate prices (£55) and booked around 9:31 on the morning. So in the theory of the earlier you book the better the seats I should hopefully have some good seats...

...but knowing my luck i will be dumped next to the media-pit for the 3rd stadium show in a row.

it'll be there, and on WikiColdplay :D

Because you will have to seat somewhere in the stadium, because I don't know where I've been dumped yet :(

I don't understand????

less than 7 months :D

what's the closest hotel to wembley?

okay what's the cheapest one, Ian? How highly do you recommend this hotel 'cause I don't want to have any horrors... (Yes, I've seen too many movies.. lol )

Premier Inn is across the road and last we checked it was £90+ per night

Not sure if he means this or not, but we're booked in at the Wembley Travel Lodge. Think it was about £50 per night. And its about 40mins walk from the stadium. or a couple of tube stops away (tube there & walking back I think)

well we've been to the travelodge wembley a couple of times in the past few weeks, its fine :) No monsters in the shower :laugh3:

Travelodge? Okay, i'll check it out

As I see it the Wembley Travel Lodge is all booked up the 18th and 19th September. :( I wanted to book there if it wasn't.

Seems like they don't want to fill up their hotel for only two nights at this weekend:

When you only want two nights - it says there are no rooms. (Fir-Sun)

When you want to stay until Monday there ARE rooms available!!

I hadn't realised it was booked up. We booked ours as soon as we bought the tickets.

*Nearest Travel Lodge with rooms still available for 18th & 19th Sept, at a not too scary price, is Kew Bridge @ £42 per night.

but that's a bit of a trek to Wembley because its at the end of the M4.

* Heathrow Central Travel Lodge is further out, but rooms are from £29 per night.

* Premier Inn at Wembley is now asking £260 for a 2-night stay :stunned:

http://www.premierinn.com/pti/checkHotelAvailability.do

* Wembley Plaza hotel (Hilton chain) has a room from £166 per night either a twin or a triple (sleeps three adults)

Thank you for the information Jenjie. I've been looking at London Park Royal Travelodge since I saw Wembley was booked up, but maybe I should consider the Kew Bridge.

Or maybe I should just consider staying for one more day just for shopping. My sister would probably appreciate that. :D She's going with me on my conditions, because I want to see Coldplay. It sounds silly, but it's true.

To go or not to go, that's the question..

I always wanted to go to London, but the thing is, my dad's b'day is on the 19th :p

And I have no idea who I should ask to come along with me to London.

It getting even worse, when I see how many people from coldplaying.com are going to that concert. Aaargh!

sounds like the extra day to go shopping/sightseeing is exactly what you need to thank your sister for coming with you :D
