oh I plan to stay well.. we'll see. I would like to stay a week... :shifty: calculations, calculations. It would be fun though! :D

glad you mentioned that, looks like booking nights as a block isn't the cheapest way of doing it.

This is an example for 5 nights from Tues 15th-Sun 20th Sept:

  1. doing it this way:

1 room Check in: 15 September Check out: 20 September Total: 5 Nights

in a twin/double will cost: Flexible rate (Cancel up until noon on the date of arrival)
    £95 £95 £95 £95 £95 = £475

  •
but doing it in separate blocks is cheaper (you'd have to check out before 12 on 17th & check-in again later):

1 room Check in: 15 September Check out: 17 September Total: 2 Nights
    Saver rate (Non-refundable)
    £29 £29 = £58

1 room Check in: 17 September Check out: 20 September Total: 3 Nights
Flexible rate (Cancel up until noon on the date of arrival)
    £95 £95 £95 = £285

Second option saves £132

So for a recap: to get rooms in Wembley Travel Lodge you now have to book for 3 nights either 17th-20th or 18th-21st Sept, and those dates are all £95 per night. double or twin rooms remaining.

if you're staying longer, its worth making 2 bookings because the rooms are going from £29 per night on the dates either side of Coldplay's dates.

If you're staying only for 3 nights, its currently cheaper to book with Premier Inn:

for 17th-20th Sept they are charging £340.

for 18th-21st Sept they are charing £329

and they're practically on the doorstep of Wembley.

Worth noting: if you're bringing a car they advise the following -

Extremely limited car parking at this location, £5 per 24 hrs. Additional Car parking is available at a charge of £5 per day at Tube Station opposite the Premier Inn.

Higher rates apply during key events

rhis is totally messed up! greedy bastards

I don't understand????

I have seated tickets, but I haven't been told which seats there are for. The offer is still open though, you get over the UK you can have my spare ;)

Off course there is nothing stopping you booking a hotel in another town/city and getting a coach ticket to and from wembley ;)

Or am I going to be the only person taking the bus?

Oops, double post.

And I can't merge my posts together :(

bad mod :whip: :P

what do you mean taking the bus arent you gonna stay in london for the night?

I'm catching a coach up to london and back home (well Basingstoke) on the same night, so no overnight stay for me :(

Okay, I'd like to ask people on this forum a question. I went to one of Coldplay's shows at the O2 arena in London last December. I'd quite like to go to this Wembley show but think that there is no point because it's part of the 'Viva la Vida' tour which was what I saw last December. Does anyone think it is worth me going, and if it'll be any different to the show I saw at te O2 arena?

The band talked about how they were going to have reformat everything for the stadium tour. So yes, I think this will be much different. Same songs and all, but bigger, and better.

You're from Basingstoke?!?!? :stunned:

A friend of mine is from Basingstoke as well and I know that he'll be going to see Coldplay on the 18th (because of Girls Aloud :laugh3: ).

Same here ... :)

Plus as it seems it will be the last date of the VLV/whatever it's called tour so the Wembley dates should be special, I think :)

And given that you are in the UK anyway, travelling isn't the biggest part for you (which it was, if people came from across Europe, the USA or anywhere else) so I would recommened to try getting tickets for this one :)

well will you after party with us, or this coach on a time table?

it's up to you, I went to 3 shows during the viva la vida tour, and I expierenced every one of them differently, even though 2 shows were on 2 nights in a row. but I suspect the stadium shows will be different from the viva tour, even just the atmosphere will be completely different

:cheesy: i can even picture the atmosphere in the city the days before the show :wacky: i guess most people staying in a hotel the week of the concert are there for coldplay  just experience that will be so worthy.

yeh we must have a pre-show and post-show coldplayers partey :D

btw no more bands have been confirmed for that concert? just Jay-Z? :uhoh:

I know I;m soo excited just for queing up, never mind coldplay :P

everyone I tell about it is like :that will be EPIC. and I'll be like: and I'm there :smug:

just Jay-z so far, but it will expand i;m sure

I looked in Premier Inn and.... 130 for one night (19th september) !!!!!!

Edit: I think Its only a good option if you stay there for more than 2 days (prices decrease then)

If you want to try & co-ordinate, and people are happy for me to do so, we can add hotels next to names on the who's going list

Well about 15 miles west of basingstoke (or 4 stops down the railway line down towards Plymouth).

well will you after party with us, or this coach on a time table?

Fixed time table, it leaves wembley around 11:30 from the coach park and leaves wembley around 12:30 due to traffic :laugh3:
