You can speak your mind if what you speak is fair and realistic. If you said "many American teens blow their money" instead of "all American teens blow their money", I wouldn't "attack" you. In fact I'd agree with you. You generalized and refused to listen to reason. I cannot sit by and let you do that.

i repeat this is my thread so i feel free to say whatever i think about this place, based and not based on my personal experience, so if i want to say that american education is poor and getting a job a 16 is not necesarry then i'll say it.

You're right. For many Americans it's hard to understand why someone who was not born or raised in this country not like this country. Someone who was not born or raised in this country can view the country with different glasses and see things that many Americans refuse to see. I was able to see that when I lived in Spain. Living in Spain opened my eyes about the US. But, the main thing to remember is that not everyone conforms to the stereotype that one sees.

i never asked him to conform to it.

he just took it too much at heart, and blew it up in something that wasn't necesarry.

all the things he said are not going to change my view of the place.

i've been here far too long to see it otherwise after all i've been throught.

and not just me. my family, other immigrants and even american that i see have to suferrer unfairly because of the society here.

 

those are MY personal view. and i don't want to discuss them because i have already and with people so closed minded about my view as him is impossible to help him understand where i'm coming from.

I don't have a problem with your opinion (it was just the whole generalization part that I felt was wrong) and I respect your opinion because I do agree with some of the things you said about the state of our education.

Maroon 5 are ok but that guy's voice can get on my nerves after a while.

 

Snow Patrol, well, I only know one song by them and it didn't sound bad.

 

The Fray are pretty good but I am not feeling their new song. I might need to listen to it more in order to like it. I do like How To Save A Life.

 

Radiohead....I'm not into though Creep was a good song.

 

Oasis....I haven't heard their music in a long time but Champagne Supernova is a great song.

 

They're more than just creep but i know most people know them for that song only. If you have the chance, try to listen The bends or Ok Computer, those albums are just great. I'd recommend you their other albums but they're too experimental if you're new to radiohead haha.

Those are my favorite group after Coldplay. Adam Levine's voices does get annoyign after a while.
