December 21, 200817 yr With a question to shake the entire world apart... Imagine you have a glass which can hold 500ml of water, but it has 250ml of water in it, so: Is the glass half full Or is it half empty? Will you share or will you shaft?
December 21, 200817 yr Is the glass half full Or is it half empty? depends on if i am thirsty or not. :P
December 21, 200817 yr Yay, a random poll. Half of the glass's capacity is currently in use, and half is not. See? Simple. Actually, if you want to use relative terms like 'full' or 'empty', you need to know the glass's previous state. If it was full, and then half of the contents were removed, then it's half empty. If is was empty and contents were added to it, then it's half full.
December 21, 200817 yr gotta stay postive :D what else are you gonna do? so it's half full to me I'm with Carla - she's so wise :) My glass is always half full :smug:

Otherwise I would say it is half full! So I vote for half full.
December 22, 200817 yr nerd answer ! :P Nerd :P The glass was full before you taking a drink of half the water to leave 250 ml :P :smart: So in that case, it's a very refreshing half empty. But seriously though, my first answer still stands. I'm a romantic realist- in the philisophical sense in this universe both the good and the bad, the heartbreakingly wonderful and the epically horrible coexist in equal measure and to focus on one is to ignore the other at your peril, says I. That's life, a big jumble of stuff.
December 22, 200817 yr son, don't ask, neither half full nor empty is your glass. :P (i seriously can't believe no one wrote that yet...is this a coldplay forum or what?!)
December 22, 200817 yr Neither, The glass is simply twice the size it needs to be. ;) ^and I'm pretty sure it's "how full or empty..."
December 22, 200817 yr Half full or Half empty, the water is the same :p Half empty sounds cooler :cool2:
December 22, 200817 yr Bottomless! Actually, the glass is always over the half-way mark when it reaches the half-full mark, if you include the water molecules that are bouncing around above the liquid water, in equilibrium with the liquid if the relative humidity above the glass is 100% saturated, and Room Temp. is constant between 0 and 100 degrees centigrade. One might add that liquid water under standard temperature and pressure reaches maximum density around 4C; below which, it is less dense, and above which it is less dense (while remaining liquid) So, always fill your glass half-way at 4C, and let it grow! Interestingly, on a tangential topic, water's affinity for itself forms a "hug" around the DNA strands' double helix, in essence holding together each strand of the DNA molecule, against the repulsion of polar hydrogen atoms bonded to each chain. Therefore, we are all kept alive by hugs!:pleased: But in terms of psychology, it's merely a mental "ink blot" test suggesting general outlook - which, in some ways may not translate well into an understanding of a person's mood or outlook. Better to ask someone if they think the future looks bright or gloomy, and even that's only a momentary snapshot of one's outlook.. The natural way to improve mood is to rest well, exercise, have enjoyable productive social interactions with feeling-thinking personality types, and listen to the new Coldplay album!:P Plants have similar requirements: 3 parts sunshine:sunny:, 2 parts water:sweatdrop:, and 1 part love:heart:
