I would want to smack Fabio Fognini in the head if i could what a cheating scumbag.

Serving to stay in the match 30-15 down he gets cramps and claims to the umpire its and injury so that he can take a medical time out when he knows you can't get treatment from cramps.

He was laughing about it in the press conference afterwards too. It was obvious he knew he had "pulled a fast one".:dozey:

Stunning comeback sees Murray through to last eight after epic five-set win over Troicki

Andy Murray completed a remarkable comeback to defeat Viktor Troicki 4-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 7-5 in the fourth round of the French Open on Tuesday afternoon.

The world No 4 had defied a right ankle injury to hit back from two sets and a break down to tie the match before darkness fell last night and he was favourite to complete the job on Tuesday.

However, Troicki had the match in his grasp when he led 5-2 in Tuesday's one-set shoot-out only for the Serb to lose his nerve, allowing Murray to win five games in a row and book a place in the quarter-finals against Juan Ignacio Chela.

The fourth seed had certainly been in the ascendancy when play was called off but the real worry for the Scot's fans was the manner in which he had started the match.

Going through: Andy Murray reacts after closing out his fourth round match, to the delight of mum, Judy

With his ankle clearly still a problem, the 24-year-old lost the opening five games in double-quick time, and it was not until the joint loosened up that he managed to play anything like his best tennis.

Murray sensibly practised until 20 minutes before the resumption today in an effort to prevent the same thing happening and he was rewarded with a break point in the first game.

He could not take it but another chance arrived in Troicki's next service game. The Serb was under the cosh but he produced a superb forehand to save that one as well.

Murray's luck was certainly in at the start of the sixth game when, with Troicki about to smash away a winner, a ball boy inexplicably ran on to the court meaning the point had to be replayed.

The 15th seed argued his case at length to no avail but he still created his first break point of the day when Murray mistimed a forehand, and he took full advantage to lead 4-2.

Troicki was playing the big points much better than his opponent and he again turned to the drop shot to save Murray's third break point before a forehand on to the baseline took him to within one game of a famous victory.

Murray's record in five-set matches is very good and before today he had won four of the five in which he had trailed by two sets, including in the first round here last year against Richard Gasquet.

He certainly left it late this time, and when Troicki was 30-0 serving at 5-3, Murray was two points from defeat. But the Serb tightened up and this time the Scot did break through.

The fourth seed was struggling to find winners but Troicki's resistance was fading and, after Murray had squandered two break points at 5-5, the Serb dumped a tame backhand into the net to leave the 24-year-old serving for the match.

There was still time for some late drama as Murray let a 40-0 lead slip back to deuce but he took his fourth match point with a brilliant backhand winner to reach the last eight at Roland Garros for the second time in his career.

I wouldn't rate that as a stunning comeback as the headline says Troicki had the match in the bag but threw it away. This comeback doesn't even compare to the one Schiavone had in the match against Pavlychenkova.

It still takes guts to fight back the way Murray did, especially from 2-5 in the final set.

However, Schiavone's performance was truly awesome (again).

Schiavone reaches second consecutive French Open final after seeing off Bartoli

Defending champion Francesca Schiavone will go for a second successive title at the French Open against China's Li Na in the final on Saturday after ending the run of home hope Marion Bartoli.

The Italian, who remarkably had not reached a tournament final since beating Samantha Stosur in Paris 12 months ago, turned on the style on Court Philippe Chatrier to defeat the former Wimbledon finalist 6-3 6-3.

Earlier, Li had reached her second grand slam final in a row following her loss to Kim Clijsters at the Australian Open by seeing off Maria Sharapova 6-4 7-5.

article-0-0C60346000000578-443_634x417.jpg Final fling: Francesca Schiavone celebrates after beating Marion Bartoli

Schiavone lost 10 of the first 12 games in her quarter-final against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova but it soon became clear she would not make that mistake again.

Both players coped better with the wind than Sharapova had and it was not until the eighth game that either really threatened a service break.

It was Schiavone on the offensive, using her spin and placement to pull Bartoli all around the court, and she moved 5-3 ahead with a brilliant angled forehand that the Frenchwoman could only watch.

The fifth seed really was playing well and she played her best game of the set to clinch it after 40 minutes.

article-0-0C60299E00000578-544_634x437.jpg Struggle: Bartoli couldn't give the French crowd the result they wanted

Bartoli, enjoying by far her best run at a grand slam since losing to Venus Williams in the Wimbledon final four years ago, came out fighting at the start of the second and drew a huge roar from the crowd when she broke to lead 2-0.

But she could not hold onto her advantage and Schiavone turned up the heat again to break for a second time, moving 4-3 in front. The greater variety of the 30-year-old's game, particularly her single-handed backhand, was causing Bartoli all kinds of problems.

Schiavone's supporters were greatly outnumbered but they were in fine voice and they were able to celebrate a second successive final for their women when Bartoli dumped a backhand into the net.

Andy Murray really irritates me. He seems to really falter when it matters most. And falter on his own terms and not because the opposite player is playing sublime tennis. He is down and out against Nadal. Still it's an improvement getting to the semis. He's got to win a Grand Slam really soon though.

Superb match between Djokovic and Federer way more entertaining than the other semi. The tennis that was played in the first and fourth set was great and Federer serve was on fire. Happy for him can see how much it meant to him to win judging by his reaction i hope he wins the whole shebang beating Nadal on clay at Roland Garros would be such sweet victory for him over his critics.

I think that's a bit unfair. Murray fought every step of the way against Nadal today, but Nadal was just superior. Losing to Nadal was no disgrace whatsoever, as he's arguably the best clay court player of all time, and has only lost once at Roland Garros, against Soderling when Nadal was coming back from injury.

Getting to the semis was a fantastic achievement by Murray, especially after twisting his ankle like that. Let's hope he carries his form into the grass court season.;)

If Fed manages to beat Nadal in the final, it will have to go down as his greatest achievement ever.

Certainly beating Djokovic today was one of his best wins ever.

Fed is definitely in with a shout this time, as he is playing out of his skin, and Nadal isn't playing as well as he was a few years ago, when he was virtually unbeatable on clay.
