rafa rafa rafa!:D

excellent match, once again, hope that rivalry never ends:lol:

(but i think fed will retire if rafa wins US open..)

Maybe last year when he was winning every match he said he was perfect... it too much for him to handle to see that Rafa keeps getting better

WOW, watching Federer crying like that was really painful :(

& even though I'm not quite yet into Nadal, I liked his sporty spirit that day!

I think after this, there might be a huge possibility that Federer might retire......I donnu!!!

Errr... now that's the end of this thread :bigcry:

Ah, let me change this to The Official Tennis Thread! :idea2:

But, the poll is disturbing. :\

Well, you can create a thread for the Grand Slam tournaments & a thread for the Tennis Masters Series...........OR you can just take a chill bill & wait until Roland Garros is on & then create a thread for it! :dozey:

I´m sure he will have his revenge against Nadal.

Roger is not going to retire.

Dont say something like that though it was already roumored last year.. :dozey:

And after the final he said to the australians:"See you next year!.."

So dont think of a retirement!

He is still alive and will be no.1 again :)

Sorry, StrawberrySwinger, I didn't mean to be rude! I pretend to hate anybody who goes against Andy Roddick ;)

And I'm sorry to see Federer cry. Nadal was a good sport about it, though. He said, "Sorry for today. I know how you're feeling right now. It's really tough. But remember you are a great champion, you are one of the best in history and you're going to improve the 14 of Sampras."

EDIT: I'm so excited to see Verdasco getting better... I hope he keeps improving, because he would make a great addition to the top 4 players in the world.

God, that final yesterday killed me, as Roger himself said. I am a huge Roger fan and to see him break down like that was very upsetting. I don't think I've ever cried over something like that before but seeing that it had actually affected Roger who is always so stable and gracious really got to me. It must have meant an awful lot to him, he didn't even shed a tear after Wimbledon, yet there he was sobbing in front of the tennis world.

Roger definetely will not retire because of this. He is far stronger than that. One defeat will not be the end of him, and I am certain he will return, perhaps with a coach in tow, to win more Grand Slams. Roger will beat Sampras' record.

The pressure on Roger before the match was immense, it must be pretty hard trying to live up to all the expectations. It will be interesting to see how the pressure affects Rafa... I'm sure he will win all 4 slams, be number one for more than 237 weeks and break Sampras' record.

Roger just needs to get over the mental barrier he has with Rafa. It is clear that he has the game needed to beat Rafa, but there is just something stopping him from playing the killer shots needed.

So who do you guys like in the french open? Fed or Nadal? Definitely Nadal, i think.

What about Wimbledon? Fed or Nadal? I have a feeling Fed's gonna win it back.

U.S. Open: Fed or Nadal? It's really tough, but I think Nadal may have a slight edge.

See y'all next year! :D :P

Ahh thank you! I am a Fed fan all the way :D He is beyond amazing!

Unfortunately I think Rafa will almost certainly win FO, Roger in the final hopefully taking it to 5 sets after last years let down... Just imagine if Roger won... breaking Sampras' record, beating Rafa and getting atleast a career slam... It would be amazing, but I think unlikely.

Roger is my favourite for Wimbledon, Rafa may be defending champion but I think Roger will want his favourite title back a LOT. He definetely didn't show how hard the loss was for him to handle, but I am sure he will want to rule grass once more at all costs.

As for US, I am really undecided, obviously Rafa has just won his first GS on HC and he is obviously playing very well to have done so, but Roger is defending champion, and I dont think hes going to let this chance of getting 6 in a row slip by after Wimbledon.

Just some thoughts there! I am a Roger fan all the way. I dont dislike Rafa as a player or person (in fact the oppositre, his kind words to Roger yesterday were wonderful), but I cannot stand to see Federer so broken after a loss.

ALLEZ SUISSE!! :D
