September 10, 201213 yr You can watch last night's @London2012 @Paralympic Closing Ceremony in full on YouTube at . A [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIRHMmM2z7c[/ame]
September 10, 201213 yr Chris looked tense on that picture of them waiting for the encore! Now that you mention it, they all look a little pensive to me. I mean, we're used to that from Jonny, but not so much Guy & Will. But maybe it's just me.

I see it now with all the members! Well, they had said previously that they felt this night was going to be one of the most important of their lives, so maybe that's not surprising. I mean, do we have any pics backstage of Glastonbury 2011 ? Maybe they were also tense like that ?

You can hear the nervousness in Chris' voice early on, and with all the choreography involved, I'd be nervous right up til the very last note. It must have taken a lot of rehearsal!
September 10, 201213 yr You can hear the nervousness in Chris' voice early on, and with all the choreography involved, I'd be nervous right up til the very last note. It must have taken a lot of rehearsal! Yeah, I had also noticed he was nervous at the beginning, which is indeed totally understandable!!
September 10, 201213 yr Yeah, I had also noticed he was nervous at the beginning, which is indeed totally understandable!! Add to that RiRi missing the first round of rehearsals. That would make me nervous as hell! I still can't believe how beautifully it all went, and how the boys brought their A...no, their A+ game.
September 10, 201213 yr I thought she was off during PoC, but she sang fine during We Found Love. I was hoping it wasn't on purpose!
September 10, 201213 yr I thought she was off during PoC, but she sang fine during We Found Love. I was hoping it wasn't on purpose! To my ears, it was the best of the three PoC performances to date, but she still sounded a little off at times. Better than usual though, imo.
September 10, 201213 yr both Rihanna and Chris sounded off during POC... but POC isn't really that easy to sing IMO :P
September 10, 201213 yr both Rihanna and Chris sounded off during POC... but POC isn't really that easy to sing IMO :P I find most of it easy to sing, but the end is really difficult for me. Rihanna and I have pretty much the same vocal range, and the highest notes in the song seem to challenge her the way they do me. But sometimes in the lower parts she pushes them too hard and they go pitchy. And although Chris sounded amazing last night, it sounds like he's losing his voice, and he pushed it a lot last night, probably due to nerves and excitement.
September 11, 201213 yr True, the final part of PoC isn't easy at all... And Chris was pretty off at times, like at the end of 42, he could barely make a whisper... But as you all said, it underststandable. And anyway, not only he was nervous (and when he's nervous, he never gives his best), but he also had to sing a lot of songs, also not in the usual order... I mean, to sing Up In Flames he needs to change from falsetto to his normal voice so fast and so often, that's not easy at all, and they also had to play it quite at the beginning of the show... While they usually do at the middle of concerts. But I noticed most of Chris' problems when I watched the ceremony again today, because yesterday I was too hyper :P I reckon that it absolutely WAS an amazing night. Coldplay made the show. At the other ceremonies artists appear just for a few minutes, while our band couldn't rest for a moment until the end of the night. They gave everything they could, and that's what matters. That's what, I'm sure, every spectator from everywhere in the world noticed. They've seriously become part of history with last night, which was the highest point of their career (until now) for sure. And I could never be more proud
September 11, 201213 yr I thought the acrobats, dancers, firework, made up for whatever imperfections there might have been. The presentation as a whole was fantastic and that's all that mattered. To hear the Viva chants at the very end of the program as the crowd dispersed was priceless.
