its not dangerous to security, we've had a couple on Coldplaying in the past few years, they just bombard the site with hits, bringing it down. Annoying more than anything else :evil:

ah yes. There was that one night we got hacked. It was crazy. The hacker made me a moderator...that was entertaining. Didn't he make Albie a mod too? hahah scary . That was back in the days of points.

that was an interesting night, but that wasn't the same as the DDOS I'm talking about, the hack was because we were using crap forum software. Closest Albie ever came to becoming a moderator :lol:

DDoS attacks are a bit more failsome though if it's only from a small-ish amount of people doing it to a large-ish website. I remember a forum I was on got DDoS'd by raidfags on 4chan - utter fail, it didn't do shit.
