i really love the charity idea :nice:. the question of how to donate money without a credit/debit card, though, is an issue. people without plastic cards: do you ever order online? how do you do that, if you do?

 

checks always, work, though. charities will pretty much accept money in any form, i think. so checks would definitely be possible.

What about Paypal payments??

Yeah, that's what i was gonna say.... i don't have a credit card, but i do use paypal for internet shopping (coldplay shopping, actually :P)

yeah, how the hell do you use paypal without credit/debit cards? i was going to suggest it, but i assumed you needed plastic to use it. on a personal note, i HATE paypal with a firey passion :P. whoever designed their interface needs to be fired and put out of the business forever.

Paypal works easily with a credit card, but if you don't have one they give you a code and bank account to deposit money.... i think it takes about a week for it to show up on your paypal account using this method ;)

Having said that, i'd be impressed if we found a charity that accepts paypal.... it just seems like something that is used for shopping more than anything else.... :\

usually donations and payments can be done to a bank account number, then you only have to go to a bank and make a deposit to the account (I don't know how to say: hacer un ingreso en la cuenta). And you don't need a credit card in that case.

are we? wow! iw as thinking we could set up a bank account and transfer money there but i am thinking it would be great of we'de get a signficant amount if everyone here donats a dollar/pound/euro we'd have like 50 euro's.. i'm not saying everybody has to throw in loads of cash though...

 

and for charity i'd say oxfam... actualy if we're donating there we might be able to ask pete fo r help in how to donate? only do we have to thank hm for that after as well?
