I have concluded that I can be a better 1) interviewer and 2) journalist than all these people.

yeah..i think coldplayers' reviews are much better than all these published ones..

we should send them to the press and ask them to publish those!

^^ Hey! That's Malaysian The Star newspaper! :)

I'm having goosebumps all over multiple times just by reading this article! Relieving all the fab moments! It'll be a tough match for other artistes to match if I go to any gigs in future

I miss the boys as well  I'm actually very very depressed because of it :\

I miss them too. Thinking of years till they come again, gosh. :(

The entire review was cool except for that part.

I love Chris, but Coldplay would not be Coldplay without Jonny, Guy and Will.

This isn't the first time a journalist wrote this kind of article. Can't they see how we love all of them and not just Chris? That line is so shallow imo. :\

I miss them too. Thinking of years till they come again, gosh. :(

I know... I've seen magazine covers calling them 'Chris Martin and band' and other shite like that

They are Coldplay for goodness' sake.

Gah The Star! I have a friend who's a journalist for The Star. She's so gonna get it from me.

I'm currently watching a bunch of youtube videos of the concert. I MISS COLDPLAY LIKE MAD!

Haha I love this one.

Me too, I miss the boys like crazy.

:lol:Chris is so funny. Love it when he pretended to look at his "watch"..

Aisya, I wanna see your pictures of the gig!:wink3:

Felicia! I can only upload the photos when I Anisah comes back from uni because I need her laptop as I dont have a card reader... I've blogged about the trip though! :)

As it happens that my family are the readers of The Star newspaper, this is today's Section 2 pullout. Cover is Chris and the feature's the review of the concert as posted before, and right beside the review of Coldplay, the next page was dedicated to Duffy's. Guess the reporters went to both, sorted out the pix, did the review and only went to press today (Fri, 27/3/09)

The first pic is exactly the same as the Straits Times review

I like the picture @ the bottom though :D

Thanks for the link, Aisya. Just watched the vid. Oh my, I absolutely loooove that mo! Sooooo funny! Very much humourous, that Chris!

Hahah, for a mo, I thought it's M'sia NST, then I realised you're referring to Sing's Straits Times.

Yeah

The picture is credited to Joseph Nair of ST though

reading that totally put a silly smile on my face...

I miss Coldplay!!!

that "The Chris Martin Show" comment aside (he's the lead singer, ffs, what in the world did the writer honestly expect him to do - just stand there stock still & just sing? booooring!), i think this review's much better written than the Straits Times one. captures the mood of the concert better. & extra minus pts to the ST reviewer for the typo for Clocks in the papers (it was missing the "s" in the song title...tsk tsk :P ).

 When I typed out the entire ST review here yesterday morning I added in the 's' behind 'Clock' just because :P

Oh! no wonder I didn't notice the typo. I also agree that other than the comment in the Star, the review is better than the ST one. The ST review sounded like a narration of what happened without enough adjectives..

haha...good on ya, mate!

Yeah

well, i'd theorise that the guy from The Star probably couldn't get any decent shots & either them journos were lumped in the same area together or happened to get together to compare notes, the guy from The Star ended up "borrowing" the ST's photo. :wink3:

The ST review was crap. boring straightforward report. We all could have written a better one.

Maybe the Star didn't send down a photographer to the concert  That's very probable.

i think my heart sank like a lead weight when i read the ST review. it was like "Coldplay had a concert in Singapore on 23 March 2009. They played some old hits & stuff from their new album. So there. End of story." i was like 'awww, c'mon!!! give them some credit for a good show at least...jeez!' :(

We should write one review ourselves and email it to ST

And at the bottom we shall state 'THIS IS HOW A REVIEW FOR A COLDPLAY CONCERT SHOULD BE WRITTEN.'

Yes I miss them madly too, for the whole week I've been doing nothing but watching interviews/concerts, reading articles and stalker pictures all the way into the wee hours and as a result I dreamt of them and woke up late for work. Which when I arrvied at work I was back to stalking.

SIGH.

Watching my videos of the gig now. I miss so so so so badly.

Oh has anyone seen the video of their Japanese interview? Its adorably hilarious.
