August 21, 200916 yr I started thinking about this today: how is it in the US about the age limits? Do you have something like an ID card? And at what age can you get it? We can get ID cards (I guess that's the best way to translate it) being 16 or older. Somebody is considered an adult if he's 18 or older. And I think, but I'm not sure, that as long as I don't have an ID card I can't travel anywhere without an adult permission.
August 21, 200916 yr well you can get an ID at 18, and that's also when you're a legal adult (although the drinking age is 21)... But a lot of times your driver's license acts as a form of identification too :shrug: And you can travel without parental permission at any age here, I think... at least I know it's not 18 because I've been flying alone since I was 13! But 15 and under you get chaperoned at the airport by a worker, it's mortifying! :lol:

August 22, 200916 yr Author ok so i FINALLY went into the DPS to take the test to get my driver's permit, and what happened? the fucking paper that i signed last time we were there had expired. so i couldnt take the test and couldnt get my permit. GOD DAMMIT :bigcry: and i totally would have passed too. those stupid bitches hadnt even told us that there was an expiration date or anything so we didnt know. and i know we took a long time to finally come back in for me to take the test, but we would have come in time if we had known! so now i cant get my permit until we resubmit all the papers again. which means i have to get a new VOE form from my school. and do all that crap stuff again. i was about to jump over the counter and strangle that dude! :veryangry:

August 22, 200916 yr where do you work? well, now i work at this little french restaurant called "La Creperie Cafe". I'm a waitress. :) I don't hate my job at all. I just dont like working all day. I have to be there at 8:30 in the morning and i dont get off until 3:00. :angry: But oh well. Money is good. :lol:
