February 23, 200917 yr In your opinions what is the most epic Coldplay song that comes to mind?I think some songs when played live are more epic than the actual studio recording. For me I would have to go with Politik and Lovers In Japan. They build into this big epic finish.Especially Lovers In Japan live with the butterflies.I know there are more. But what do you guys think?
February 23, 200917 yr Fix you would definitely be the most epic in my book. The last half of the song just gives me chills. Especially when i watch the music video.
February 23, 200917 yr Live Politik is stunning, absolutely mindblowing. Other than that I'd say A Rush of Blood to the Head is most epic - it's not my favourite song of theirs by a long shot, but it's just such a long, fully-developed song. It's such a shame that the critical mauling of x&y has stopped them really developing songs to their full potential. Now we get incredible songs, but ones that are quite short and feel like they could have been so much more, like Prospekt's March. Brian Eno was right, less is sometimes more. But sometimes more is even more!!
February 23, 200917 yr politik, but the live version more (the one of the 2003 live cd) . just everything about the song when listen to live is epic and a great way to open up a cd , or concert
February 23, 200917 yr Author Live Politik is stunning, absolutely mindblowing. Yea I love the direction they are going in now.But I do miss some of the old stuff.More of the Anthem stuff.Sometimes it feels like the songs on Viva never take off.But I do love the Viva stuff. But I guess I can listen to old stuff if I want to hear that stuff.Although Glass Of Water is a bit like their old stuff in a way.Well they way the song is structured anyways.
February 23, 200917 yr this may sound weird, but at the moment i have to say that i think amsterdam is the most epic. i dont see epic as necessarily the most popular songs...
February 23, 200917 yr Ya, Fix You is just breathtaking!!! IN YOUR SIGGY. IS THAT PHIL'S PHONE NUMBER?? :stunned: :dead:
February 23, 200917 yr ...Sometimes it feels like the songs on Viva never take off... I completely agree, Yes for me is a stunning song and absolutely incredible when they played it with the extended jam at the end in the States, it took it to a whole new level, and I was really disappointed they gave up playing it so soon. I've heard Coldplay see the Stone Roses first album as a kind of bible, and would just so love them to have the guts to jam the life out of an end of a track like I Am the Resurrection, or the later single Fool's Gold. They could easily do it, and it would be marvellous :)
February 24, 200917 yr Epic? Amsterdam. Period. Lots of big songs, but that's the most properly epic.
February 24, 200917 yr IN YOUR SIGGY. IS THAT PHIL'S PHONE NUMBER?? :stunned: :dead: I think it's his old number I have not tried calling it yet, If you try it tell me if any one answers:D Ya, Amsterdam is a SUPER EPIC song too. (i just learned it on the piano yay!!!)
February 24, 200917 yr what about death and all of his friends or life in technicolor. Definitely epic in my books
February 24, 200917 yr Ya, Fix You is just breathtaking!!! Whoa your siggy is awesome!! An old tape, it must be very exclusive! Is it yours, of did you find this picture? It is great  You should try to call that number! Back on topic: I'd say Everything's not lost is very epic.
