Jenjie
Welcome to the thread for the above concert which can be used for all discussion prior to, during and after the gig. One thread one concert - should hopefully keep everyone organised and up-to-date with Coldplay on the road. Did you get tickets? Are you looking for tickets? Are you looking for ticket swaps? Need help/directions on getting to the concert? Not sure what the arrangements and rules are for the particular venue is? Are you just bloody excited? Do you have a review for the concert? romanglass
I was so excited to hear about this today! I was not a member on here when Coldplay was here last time so I missed the discussions. Looking forward to counting down to the show with you all :D

FlipBack
Woohoo so going. Went to both the *edit*Viva*edit* concerts at the Verizon center, and am looking forward to this one, although I've never been to the Nissan Pavilion.
notlost92
YES! Concert #5, here I come! I'm SO excited, even if it's at Nissan which is a bit random. I haven't been there since I saw the Backstreet Boys like 10 years ago :P Anywayyyyyyy, now we can start worrying about the ticket sales/presales
FlipBack
I have a connection that is trying to hook me up with either row A Orchestra 2 seats or Row A section 102 seats. Whatever he can get. And what exactly are presales/how do they work, ect?
Frangipanis
Be forewarned, traffic around the Nissan Pavilion is an absolute nightmare! The Radiohead show was a disaster (granted, it was raining a lot, but it's the norm to take 2-3 hours to get there from a place that's really just 30 minutes away). If you're attending this or any concert at this venue, do try to get there in the morning and hang out, seriously. The way the highway/roads are there and they way they manage parking are terrible. Unfortunately, the only decently-sized amphitheaters in the DC area are in the middle of nowhere. [ / rant ] That said, I hope everyone can make it to the concert on time! Once inside the venue, it'll be loads of fun.
romanglass
All good advice, you're so right! Also be sure to wear comfy shoes for walking because if you wind up in the outer reaches of the parking lot it can be tedious walking on the paving rocks they use. (sandals are cool but shaking rocks out from under your foot every few steps is not fun!) I actually got in to the Maroon 5 concert last year with very little trafffic even though I arrived relatively late (about 7:30). But yeah, allow plenty of time! Would be cool to have some kind of meetup on the stage left side over by the bar and merch booths. I'm pretty new to this board, are you guys a social lot? :D
Frangipanis
I hope I can go, though I'm not sure that if I went, I'd get there early. (Let's hope it doesn't rain!)
notlost92
Anyone know if it's going to be all seated, or if there will be any standing in front? I seem to have the misfortune of going to the only Coldplay concerts that are completely seated :dozey:
shine7d
Hello, I just now registered. I am totally new to this forum/thread/twitter whatever its all refered to as so please excuse my ignorance. Recently discovered Coldplay and their music by accident looking for another groups song on Youtube. Anyway fell in love with them and now i must see them in concert. Embarrasingly enough this would be my first concert in twenty years. Yes I'm old. So my question is what is the best way to get tickets? I need all the advice I can get. Thanks. FlipBack
Livenation.com You can buy them one day early with the presale password that will be posted on this site. They officially go on sale Friday, but presale is on Thursday.
notlost92
Recently discovered Coldplay and their music by accident looking for another groups song on Youtube. As long as you weren't looking for "If I Could Fly", you're welcome here! :P And just don't miss the presale Thursday, and you'll be fine :nice: Or if you miss it, make sure you're ready to buy as soon as they go on sale on Friday. liveintechnicolor
Hey everyone! I'm new to this board, so please forgive me if I ask any dumb questions :) I know the presale starts at 10 on Thursday; sadly, I will be at work then and won't be able to try to get tickets until about 5 pm. Does anyone know if the presale ends at a certain time? Also, (just to make sure) the presale password will be posted here? Again, forgive me, I'm new :) Just want to make sure I can get tickets; I'm taking my mom (I've turned her into a fan!), and this will be her first show, so I'm hoping for good seats. Thanks so much!! Heather
shine7d
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- notlost92 It was a three doors down song. Does that pass? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the info. I looked on the livenation site and signed up with them. In the presale area it refers to ticketrush so I went to their site and signed up with them and they already gave a password which lasts a month. So now my question is do I buy tickets through livenation or go directly to ticketrush. Also where is the password posted on this site and does it matter what password I use (ticketrush or coldplaying). I'm curious if the password denotes certain seats for sale or am I way over thinking this? One last comment: it doesn't seem like its a presale if anyone can get a password after signing up on the ticket sites. Any thoughts? Thanks
notlost92
Yeah, you're over-thinking it. :P There's one password given out by Ticket Rush (which you already have) that you can enter on Live Nation during the presale, and it doesn't mean certain seats, just the ones they put up in presale. Buy straight from Live Nation if you can, when I did the presale in February for my other concert in August, Ticket Rush actually crashed when the tickets went on sale. Luckily I had Live Nation up in another window, or it would've been a disaster! And yes, since it's open to everyone it's not much of a presale, the whole thing is rather ridiculous. But you'd be surprised by how many people see "presale" and shrug it off instead of actually looking to see if it's free/open to everyone. :dozey: Heather- I believe the presale lasts for 12 hours, but you might want to make sure! jensgt
Information for Nissan Pavilion show?? I remember before the two concerts at Verizon Center the info was all on livenation.com. So they have their show coming up on May 21 and tickets on sale at the end of this week but I cant find out what the ticket prices will be or figure out whether the orchestra section is seated or standing...anybody know?! chopsaki
I'm just asking the same question as the person before. I signed up both on live nation and ticket rush a couple days ago and still haven't received any email with the password. Will the password be posted here or messaged a couple minutes before the presale starts (so i can log in and things to save time)? Cheers.
jensgt
STRINGS is the presale code...now how the heck do we know how much the tickets are and whether orchestra is seated...HELP!!! lol
chopsaki
Magic, thanks for the code. I've been to 3 or 4 other shows at nissan and all of them have had a pit in front of the orchestra seats. Hopefully they won't be too much for this one.
jensgt
So I should avoid orchestra and get Pit if I want to be up front?
HappyGoLucky
Orchestra and Pit are the same at Nissan. Nissan calls it Orchestra, and it holds about 20 rows. Elevated sections start at 100 level. There's a seating chart on the Live Nation page. http://www.livenation.com/edp/eventId/405509
