Black Rose
Are the most pointless elections to elect more gravy train corrupted people who don't really have that much power. So are you voting come June?
Darlene_Ihnfsa
i've got the vote card some weeks ago. already i know who i won't vote for, and as vote is secret i won't say which parties are on that list ;)
a_face_of_light
Blah Blah not interested, the EU Parliament is the most pointless thing, much like the UK one until we actually have an elected leader, not a moronic one eyed twat with 3 braincells to share between him and his entire cabinet. Darlene_Ihnfsa
i partially agree with you Lil_Miss_Stratocaster (sorry i don't know/remember your name) we should have a president in a serious way and we haven't yet. honestly at times i doubt the Euro thing is going right. anyways back on topic, two weeks to vote. i haven't got the parties promo cards (which can allow me to vote (put the paper on my envelope, before go to vote to school, yes we vote at school and i don't want to have to put the vote on the envelope there). but i am already sick of our campaigns here, main two parties here are just saying stupid things about the other party instead of showing their plans for that period. :dozey: and other interesting parties don't get promotion at all even when they really have some plans. so my question is: how do you vote there? the card shows the party or you can vote directly for a candidate of one party list? i mean i think that this should be the same way for all europe, but i'm sure is not that way. a_face_of_light
It shows the party and candidate name I think.I have no interest in the Euro Parliment and think it would be better if countries just worried about their own national governments more. Black Rose
In Hampshire, it's also the local elections for electing the gravy boaters for the county council, but on the cards (I'm guessing 2 because of the 2 votes), will have the list of names of the candidates with the party they are standing for (if any) in brackets. a_face_of_light
Tory, I don't like what the Labour Government has done to the country.I was too young when he was in power but from what I've seen and read about him John Major actually strikes me as a pretty decent and honourable guy compared to Blair and Brown. (btw, even if you don't like EU you should vote, so that the best possible will win, even if you don't like them, but choose the best of the worst)

If you don't like a government, then you shouldn't vote in its elections. That only gives the government the air of legitimacy. Don't like the EU? Don't vote! Guest howyousawtheworld
For the love of God rest of BRITAIN, please vote for a party which will get us out of that hole in Brussels. Give power back to the British rather than some foreign monkeys who don't know what they're doing. Dissatisfaction has even gone so far that the BNP may get a couple of seats! That will wake up those twats in Brussels.
Black Rose
That is what I'm worried about, with some pure idiots voting on mass for the racists known as the daily mail party, sorry British national party.
a_face_of_light
Do you think if Labour do as badly as predicted Brown will have to resign?.
Black Rose
Nah, Brown won't resign, he will have to be pushed with a vote of no confidence, similar to what happened with Maggie.
a_face_of_light
How I understand it is Labour don't have a system for getting rid of their leader like what happened with Maggie though?.
Black Rose
No idea I'm just getting fed up with the adverts for the elections on the radio, the "create your own headlines" one.

Darlene_Ihnfsa
i don't like how the campaign is going here, too much rubbish about our national politics instead of a real project talking about europe :dozey: our politicians are worse each day. anyways i know who i will vote for ;) and as i believe the vote is secret i won't say it, just i'll say that i won't vote for any of the most known parties here.
