I just finished watching it. All seasons in about two weeks. Its an amazing show. First I loooove Rhys Meyes. But everything story, costummes... Amazing!

Not really convince by this either... The storyline seem a little bit far from the original legend (I'm very picky about Arthur's legend, been obsessed by it since I'm a kid and I HATE when they don't tell it right! XD). Since WHEN Arthur's the same age as Guenevier?? :facepalm: and WHY, WHYYY have they shave the beautiful head of my dear Joseph Fiennes?!! :bigcry:

 

So anyway, I will watch these two but for now, I'm not super excited...

Well I'm liking The Borgias for now. The trailer looks really good.

 

And Camelot, well it had J. Fiennes so it might be good, but as you said the storyline is off.

On searching about the Borgias, I've found out that HBO is also releasing a new TV-middle-age-costume-show in April!!

It's called 'Game of thrones' starring Sean Bean (you know, Boromir in LOTR)

Fellow historical/period drama addicts, here a mini-serie from the BBC called 'Downton Abbey'. It's 7 épisodes long and a season 2 is already in the works since it's been really successfull in the UK. It stars for example Maggie Smith (McConoghal in Harry Potter). The plot is basically the story of an aristocratic househould in 1912-1914. So you follow stories of the Earl of Grantham family AND the story of their servants. It's really well written, great plot, great cast, AMAZING costumes and decors.

A must watch! I can't wait for season 2 :awesome:

The Borgias will start airing soon but here some news of our beloved Queen Katherine of Aragon, Maria Doyle Kennedy!!! She will rejoin the cast of Downton Abbey (see post above) for the S2 and will play Bates' wife!! If you haven't seen the serie yet ( :whip: ), she supposed to be kinda psychotic and a cleptomane...! First episode of Camelot has been aired (Hirst is just producing it) and I have to say I'm very disappointed :/ The character are just caricatures, Morgane especially. Arthur has no charisma whatsoever (but his fake bro is yummy), they twisted the legend (since WHEN Morgane is Uther's daughter and Ygerne is the step mom?! It's the other way around!) and they shaved Joseph Fiennes beautiful head :bigcry: He's trying his best but the script is so lame, he can't save it. And there is no mention whatsoever of Excalibur...?!! :stunned: which is the ultimate proof to Arthur's claim to the throne...maybe they will show it in episode 2 but I'm surprised Merlin didn't mention it if they are using this in the show...

 

I'll watch episode 2 to see if it's going to be better but I'm not very optimistic...Bring on the Borgias!

THE FIRST EPISODE OF THE BORGIAS LEAKED

 

Just saw it and my "fears" were confirmed. The episode is 1h30 long :stunned: and it shows. The actors are great (except, the younger brother, rather dull) but I'm not really interested in vatican's plots...A little ok, but all along was quite boring...Plus, no hotties in this (at least for now) so you can't even daydream on eye candy XD BUT the costumes are as gorgeous as they were in the Tudors. I want Lucrèce's dresses :bomb:
