I Guarantee to you all, and i've said it before, and i'll say it again. The song closest to the direction of the next album will be. Prospekts March / poppyfields :D

That would be pretty awesome ;) but regardless, I know I'll like whatever they come up with :nice:

It can be Parachutes-y as long as it's something completely new. Time to evolve, please.

That's my wet dream, but I highly doubt it.

I would love nothing more!

I really hope they mean it :)

I like all thier sounds in all the different albums, but a second Parachutes would be great! When did you hear this?

I would only want a second Parachutes if another record with a COMPLETELY different sound came out around 6 months after that release! :)

If they ever did another Parachutes that'd just be a waste. We don't need two of the same thing. But if they did something along those lines that'd be good. I'd like acoustics, but I just don't want it to sound the same.

I agree. Good artists evolve every time they make a new album.

I think what she meant was Viva sucks.

Put some faith in the boys. They have evolved every album. I really do think that we will be getting a more, Acoustic C-Stage type album music wise. As well as songs like Prospekts March, NMFWTTG, 42, and to an extent a new version of a Yellow. Not meaning Yellow II, just expect the single to be a Yellow esque song!

I do think Eno is great for the band. He is different alone then when he is around Daniel Lanois. Look at The Joshua Tree then look at Passengers by U2. Completely different, both had Eno, one with Lanois one without!

I was just reading about those two in U2 by U2 for the Unforgettable Fire sessions.

Anyhow, I hope we get something more acoustic... but I hope it's not along the lines of Death Will Never Conquer or the Dubliners tune they had. Those were too folky.

Then they just need Eno and Lanois togther!

:)

Eno and Lanois..... would be too BLOODY AWESOME TO DESCRIBE!! I'd like to see what Markus Dravs could do on his own. But what about having Chris Allison come back?

Sounds like a party!

This made me laugh out loud.

No, that's not really what I meant. Viva is the only album off of which I like every song (I also like all of Parachutes but not that much). The problem is, I DEFINITELY don't want another Viva!

DEFINITELY! I'm like you in that I enjoyed EVERY song on VLV, the only album I have done. Viva La Vida was a one off thing I feel and if they do it again it immediately looks tired, bloated and not very pretty at all and would feel as pleasant as re gurgitation. So definitely not another Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends for me as well.

The band should do a concept album with no tour AT ALL.

"We have to go in a very different direction with our next record. We know what we have to do. The big mistake would be to try to replicate the size of Viva La Vida. We'll probably just rely on the chemistry between us rather than too much musical trickery."

:D yesss something not viva :D

...but a parachutes ii would be excellent.

with a song that sounds kind of swallowed in the sea-ish.

and it would be perfection IMO.
