Guest howyousawtheworld
The bitch has done it! The bitch has finally done it! YES! The man whore who we've known as Cristiano Ronaldo is FINALLY leaving the English Premier League for £80 million to Real Madrid. I have to say how heartbroken that Spaniards will have to endure his childish behaviour, his cocky goal celebrations and his twattyness in general. Spain, I feel for you. Unlucky for Manchester United though. I guess the name Cristiano United won't apply now. No more free kicks or goals from 40 yards to savour now. Still a plump £80 million will go a nice way to serving that debt of £600 million within the club.
Darlene_Ihnfsa
No surprises. Florentino Pérez is again Real's president, so again he wants to make his own players collection (read merchandise object here).

The last set of Galacticos wasn't as good as anyone thought they'd be and it was something of a relief when Fabio Capello dismantled the Galactico team in 2006. With the signing of Kaka and now Ronaldo, it is for sure another Galactico team. I wonder if they'll be more successful than the last set of stars. mc_squared
That's a real shocker (not). According to his body language, he had already left United at the beginning of last season. And he didn't even have the common decency to turn in a performance worthy of winning Fergie's lot the CL before he left. Good riddance, I say.
*Perrine*
This is crazy.... 80£ millions for ONE man :dozey:
zempt
It was inevitable, important part of Utd he is but irreplaceable definitely not, it will take time but eventually the void that he leaves will be filled and the team will move on to be just as good i believe. I just wonder where on earth Madrid get all their money from to do such crazy blockbuster deals.
Darlene_Ihnfsa
This is crazy.... 80£ millions for ONE man :dozey: more than crazy is insulting, he will earn 23000€ per day (that's what telly said). when an average family here have to work a whole year to earn that. those things should be forbidden. but as i've said no surprise that it happen since they have that "new" president again. mc_squared
That's one way to celebrate a £80million transfer... Ronaldo scores with newly-single Paris Hilton By Richard Simpson, Christian Gysin and Emily Sheridan [updated] Comments (22) Add to My Stories They have plenty in common. Well OK, then, they both shave their legs and both are worth a fortune. So it is perhaps not too surprising that departing Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo and socialite Paris Hilton are reportedly enjoying the first flushes of romance. The perma-tanned Portuguese winger has been celebrating news that he has been snapped up by Real Madrid for the eye-watering sum of £80 million by hitting the town in Los Angeles with the American party queen. Enlarge Getting to know you: Paris Hilton cuddles up to Cristiano Ronaldo on a sofa in MyHouse in Hollywood in the early hours of Thursday morning (Picture: TMZ) Intimate: Paris and Ronaldo cosy up (Picture: TMZ) Ronaldo, 24, who is single, 'hung out' with the newly-single hotel heiress and her younger sister Nicky at the MyHouse nightclub in LA well into the early hours of Thursday morning. The trio then carried on partying back at Nicky's plush home in West Hollywood. [related] Witnesses at the club claim Ronaldo and Paris - who broke up from boyfriend Doug Reinhardt just 24 hours earlier - were seen talking flirtatiously with one another in a VIP area and used bodyguards to block them from the sight of others. They also swapped numbers. Enlarge Enlarge Rendezvous: Paris and Ronaldo arrive at her sister Nicky's West Hollywood home separately at 3am on Thursday morning Several celebrity websites in America claim the pair were intimately kissing. One witness wrote: '[she was] hot and heavy, making out with Cristiano at his table.' Another reported: 'They were talking to one another and seemed extremely friendly.' They left at 3am going ostentatiously in separate directions, his entourage in a stretch Hummer and then the Hiltons in a people carrier, but not before Paris was overheard giving directions to someone on her mobile. Ronaldo then arrived at her home alone in a taxi and hurried quickly inside, before leaving two hours later at 5am. Enlarge Enlarge Ready to party: Cristiano and Paris spent several hours 'getting to know each other' in the VIP area Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson who once famously said of Spanish giants Real Madrid that he would not 'sell that mob a virus', had found 80 million very good reasons to change his mind. Why so shy? Ronaldo ducks as he enters Nicky Hilton's West Hollwood home The £80million the Premier League champions will soon bank will let Ferguson strengthen his squad as he prepares for the next season. But the transfer begged an important question over how on earth the Spanish club could afford to buy Ronaldo and pay him an estimated £200,000 a week in wages. Their move came just days after they secured the services of Brazilian midfield star Kaka for £59million in a six-year deal. Yet Real Madrid do not have a billionaire Roman Abramovich-style owner like Chelsea. Instead, what they do have is one of the biggest footballing brand names in the world. Allied to sponsorship by sports outfitter Adidas, they also have an image rights deal valued at more than £700 million. Intriguingly Ronaldo is recently reported to have signed a five-year sponsorship deal worth £25million with Nike - but he will now be pulling on a Real Madrid shirt bearing the name of rivals Adidas. Single again: Paris started the evening enjoying a 'girl's night out' with sister Nicky at Nobu before moving on to MyHouse Both Nike and Adidas will - according to insiders - 'just have to live with the situation'. [item name=poll id=1002781 style=1 /] But it is with Real Madrid's domestic TV contract that the big money now lies. Real Madrid receive around £122 million a season from a seven-year deal with MediaPro for their domestic TV rights which allows their games to be shown to a wider audience. Hundreds of millions of devoted fans around the world follow them. They are financially huge. Only one team in the world can beat that - yes, you guessed, Manchester United. Enlarge What a difference a day makes: Paris and ex-boyfreind Doug Reinhardt at a premiere on Tuesday night - a day before they split Despite reports last year Ronaldo had snubbed Paris at Hollywood nightclub Villa a year ago, he had clearly changed his opinion of the newly-single socialite given his behaviour last night. Paris dumped boyfriend Doug, who appeared on reality TV show The Hills, in the early hours of Wednesday morning after the couple got into an argument at the Dark Room club. After arriving together, a clearly upset Paris was photographed storming out of the venue alone. On Wednesday morning, she swiftly released a statement to the media announcing they were 'no longer together' and appealed for privacy. When asked for comment by E! news later that day, it appeared former baseball player Doug hadn't received the memo of their break-up, saying: 'No, that's not true. Everything is OK between us.' Their split came just four days after the couple celebrated their six month anniversary in Chicago. If Ronaldo is the newest man in Paris's life, he is just the latest in a string of high-profile boyfriends in her life. Paris has previously been engaged to model Jason Shaw and Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis. She has also dated Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos and Rick Saloman.

He's a brilliant footballer so he will be a loss for the Premiership even though I personally can't stand him. Nevermind, Man United arguably lost their best player so I won't complain.
