No, not necessarilly; there are more female fans because they like to come here and talk about how attractive the band is. And there are more straight women than gay men, so there you go.

 

Personally most of their earlier music is just emotional/sweet/sad/apologetic -- while both sexes might like that stuff I think women are more likely to listen to it. Viva la Vida (and a lot of X&Y, too) appeals more to both sexes. Everybody can identify with Coldplay's music, though -- it's how they've gotten so damn popular.

I think there music mostly relates with people who are layed back and carefree. :dozey:
