Yellow

Featured Replies

so while recently listening to "Yellow" i noticed that chris switches the lyrics. does he do this purposely or what? and i don't just mean when he adds lyrics like my love, which is amazing.

Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you

And everything you do

Yeah, they were all yellow

I came along

I wrote a song for you

And all the things you do

And it was called yellow

the parts that are yellow is what he changes. he either switches them. or says one of them twice. so i guess my true question is does he forget the lyrics? or does he just change them for fun. i've listened to my 10 different versions of yellow and he changes the lyrics in 4 of them.

for example in the live 2003 version

He probably forgets them; I can hardly blame him, personally.

yeah

he does that with Talk too:lol:

really? i've never seen any where he messes up.

:laugh3: I think he sometimes just sings whatever comes out of his mouth at the time:laugh3:

He says "swim a river out to the sea" instead of... uhhhr.... I forget.

Every live performance I've watched of The Hardest Part is a different jumbled lyrical mess. :laugh3:

This.

He keeps forgetting whether he should say "you left the sweetest taste in my mouth" or "bittersweet I could taste in my mouth" or some shit. He probably just can't decide which is nicer.

Sometimes he realizes he's made a mistake:

And sometimes he just says the very first thing that comes to his mind

Chris gets confused with his own lyrics...

What's new?

But yeah he does with many songs..Glass of water is another example.

Chris forgets the lyrics a lot but he always manages to sing something coherent in place of it :P

He messes up all the time, lol. In R42's tweet, the one with the video of the proposal, he messed up on The Hardest Part. He's forgotten or made a mistake in 2 of the concerts I've been to, and he just laughs it of with an Oh f*ck, and goes on. Part of that boyish charm. :wink3:

he probably forgets them, I doubt the still practices old songs like that all the time.

Yeah, I've heard plenty of times where the lyrics are different in The Hardest Part. Like others said, he pretty much sings whatever because he doesn't remember. lol.
