So I went to see Bruno today (very brash and vulgar) and it has a little musical montage at the end with Bono, Snoop Dogg and a few others. I was appalled to see Chris Martin in there singing too! Did anyone else see this?

I didn't see this movie yet but judging by little preview clips and stuff, I believe it might be pretty funny and I love the fact that both Bono and Chris are a part of it!

 

They do know how to make fun of themselves. They are not full of themselves, they don't take themselves too seriously and that's why I LOVE them :smug:

haven't seen Borat yet (not even sure if it'll get past the censors here in Malaysia), but i loved his episode on Extras with the whole 'Chris the Diva' deal & the "interview" he did with Ricky Gervais. :lol:

I personally find it horrifying that anyone would make a movie trying to capitalize on the fears of homosexuals by bigots. The world should be promoting alternate lifestyles, not making fun of and exploiting them.

I think the point of it is to expose the bigots as idiots and show how pathetic their reaction to homosexuality is - it's actually quite a clever way of really shaming those with homophobic attitudes. He uses the extreme to make it entertaining and he needed a character to make it into a mainstream movie, rather than a documentary.

 

It was never going to be everyone's thing as it is quite extreme, but when you see the promo clips you know what you are gonna get and everyone knows Sasha Baron Cohan's stuff is never going to be tame!

 

I'm not surprised Chris would be in it - he's got that crazy kind of sense of humor! :P

^ I disagree. I can't wait to see Bruno there is nothing better than shock value comedy. He is going to make a lot of Americans look like idiots in this movie just like Borat. People need to lighten up and just know its just a movie with shocking things :rolleyes:

These movies are smart and show idiots in their true light. Anyone who doesn't see that is letting the point fly right over their head.
