i saw avatar in 3D when it first came out and they had the updated 3D glasses that look like sunglasses. after the film i proceeded to ask anyone wearing sunglasses if they saw avatar too.

Reasons why movie studios love 3D:

1 - They can charge extra for tickets

2 - It's harder for someone to make a recording of a 3D film

3 - It gets the idiots going to the cinema to see a film because it's in 3D init, rather than waiting for it to come out on DVD

 

Give it a few years and 3D will be dead, like it was in the 50s and the 80s.
