I know they have changed their musical style a lot over the years, and during the AROBTTH Tour I would have actually classified them as rock, but not anymore. I know genres are hard to define, but what would you classify them as currently?

but i dunno. i felt weird writing pop, because vivas still pretty guitar and drum heavy, and harder than x&y.

on my itunes i never knew what to classify them as some were rock then alternative, then i remembered that chris mentioned something about limestone rock so i went back to my itunes and i classified everything i got of coldplay to "limestone rock":)

Because Chris calls the band 'soft rock', and a limestone is a soft rock.

I am not that bothered by the "pop" tittle, I dont agree with it. But it doesnt affect the music.

I prefer alternative rock title, Coldplay aren't "poppy" in most of their songs.

Well I would consider it "amazingness" but Chris often refers to their music as "limestone rock". Their myspace says "very heavy soft rock"

Alternative, Brit-Pop, Pop-Rock... dunno :D
