August 23, 200917 yr My opinion is that it's fine if the Viva La Vida record got people into liking Coldplay but ONLY if you do your homework and look up songs from previous albums, as well as B Sides and all that. Some people that I know say that they just love Coldplay but the only song they know is Viva La Vida, and perhaps a couple others such as Yellow and Clocks. It's very annoying.

August 23, 200917 yr Well, I hate to admit I didn't become hardcore until VLVODAAHF album came out, although I have always been a fan, but there is this one friend of mine that really annoys me.... She is always into the hits so she likes Viva la Vida and Violet Hill and I remember once I was chatting with her and she thinks Violet Hill is Violent Hill. And she talks about them like she's such a big fan. When I bet she could only name like three songs... Oh, and once I was playing Tap Tap Coldplay and she insisted I let her play because "No one likes Coldplay more than she does" Bullshit, haha. Sorry, I needed to vent about that.
August 23, 200917 yr Oh, and I would like to put out there that I am really a huge fan now, I have put some research into Coldplay in the last year! I've seen them in concert, I have posters, watched the tour diary, bought their albums! I know the members, blah blah blah. HAHA!

August 23, 200917 yr Yeah, I know I hate myself for not becoming a hardcore fan before VLV. But I really have always been a fan, I know my brother used to like them a lot so I liked listening to them.
