Are women born to be more scared of spiders than men?

Featured Replies

I wasn't scared of them before, but now I'm having a bit of problem with them - but only the bigger ones. Gross!

I don't mind them,as long as their are not poisonous...bees and wasps are far worse than spiders. But the Hornet takes the place as scariest flying thing, those things are huge, just thinking about them makes me feel anxious.

We bought one of those fly zapper things.

So I decided to test it out on my finger.

Holy fuck. Hurts like a bitch.

So then my cousin killed a few flies with it. And there would actually be sparks.

But some of the flies would come alive again. Bastards.

Poor flies.

:(

There was just a huge spider in my room. Disgusting. I hope there aren't that many more of them in here...

Haha why would you zap your finger?

I used to like daddy longlegs, lol. Spiders only scare me if they're big enough. Tarantulas are gross, but they don't scare me too much since they can't really hurt you. Well, I think spiders are only scary because they have those nasty, hairy creepy-crawly legs... oh and they can kill you.

What if one sneaked into your bed sheets while you were sleeping??

Spiders don't really scare me too. It's cockroaches that get me :(

Bees, however, can scare me stiff sometimes as well. But I don't mind them as much.

Agh! Same here I hate roaches, especially when they fly. Bleech.

I agree about roaches and bees. :uhoh: I run if I see a bee near me, lol.

Gotta love them.

Thats gross! I mean look at it, how would want that thing crawling on them. Even if they are not poisonous they can still bite you. And I dont get it when people have them as a pet, like WTF!!

Haha, I dunno.

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Try it on your hair..:D

I'm terrified of the little fuckers. Still finding ways of killing them. They're somehow immune to flyspray, regardless of how much portion I give them. One of the last ones ended up on the stove, the next one is going into the microwave, fresh vegetable 'Rapid Cook'; +30s. Start.

I Love Spiders! <3

In fact, I love all things that scare the others like Snakes, reptiles, scorpions etc However I hate cockroaches, I'm not afraid of them, I am the one who has to kill them always but they are just disgusting.

This study sucks, it doesn't show that women are more scared of spiders really at all.

Although in my experience, yes, girls are more afraid of bugs than guys, but that's also a cultural thing.

THERES A SPIDER ON YOUR BACK

RIGHT NOW!

I talk to the spiders that crawl on my window seal. I mean, wait! What?

Personally, the only RALLZ GROSS thing about bugs is sometimes when they're big and you have to stomp on them, their guts get all over the floor, and there's this clear juice near the point of impact, and the little white bits (idk what they are) sort of come out of the body. That's sorta nasty.

Although I have to admit if there's a cockroach flying around it's one of the most creepy things ever. I was in a dark room once and it landed on my sleeve and... bleh. I'm not really scared of bugs besides flying cockroaches unless they appear to be big enough to physically bite me.

Most tarantulas can't harm you, it's little spiders like black widows or brown recluses thay should scare you.

Yup. And they hide right in your shoes and kill you.

I hear Wembley's swarming in them...........................

Oh, dude. I hate flying cockroaches. One flew in my hair one time and I freaked like crazy.

Oh God...I had to read that title like 10 times to get that it doesn't mean:

"Are women more likely to get scared of spiders than of men"

:wacky:
