My Secret Santa hasn't sent her card off yet ... which is a bit sad honestly (okay, I have checked as the person wasn't on the list and wasn't online since end of November). :(

 

I really don't want to complain but people should only participate in this when they really want it and have the time to do so.

I mean, some people would have missed out on cards if Lore & Alison wouldn't have covered up for them ...

 

How do you know who your Secret Santa is?... :thinking:

 

The person that I sent a card to hasn't been online since the beginning of November, so hopefully they remembered to send a card to their person.

Sorry ... I meant the person I had to send my card to ... unfortunate wording, sorry :laugh3:

 

She's not on the list that Lore set up. Not that I'm spying on her or so.

But maybe others just aren't that regular on this forum and didn't report back and maybe even forgot about this whole Secret Santa thingy.

 

That's why I think people should only participate if they are honestly want to do it ... :confused:

@LittleMissMessy: if I understood the project correctly, the person to whom you send your card isn't the one who got to send you one... At least that's what I think (right?)

So don't worry I'm sure you'll get yours soon! :) I'm also very impatient, can't wait to finally see mine in the mailbox! ^^

 

But you right, it would be a pity if someone who said woul participate forgot to send his card... :/

I had a couple of posters who got in touch to say that due to personal circumstances they couldn't take part, so we got new partners for the people that should have recieved cards from them.

 

We also made rematches for anyone that didn't open their original mail.

 

We think we have all the possible problems covered... including one or two "back-ups" where posters have agreed to send a second card if necessary.

 

I think Lore hit the nail on the head a couple of days ago - some people have probably sent their card, they just forgot to tell Santa or the Elves that it's on its way.

 

In the words of our favourite boys... "Just be patient and don't worry" :)

Oh ... honestly, I'm not worried myself that I don't get a card. Even if I wouldn't have gotten one ...

 

But some people put a whole lot of effort, time & costs into this thing and it would be a pity if they wouldn't get something in return.

I think some people may end up with New Year cards rather than Christmas cards... but then not everyone celebrates Christmas anyway.

 

I guess it may be a good idea that if you have a friend on the bored who is participating in the project, give them a nudge and tell them to let me or Lore know when they have mailed the card - whoever sent them the match should be who they send confirmation to... or they can email the big red dude direct :D

I came home after a long, hard, day to find a package waiting for me. It took me a while to realize where it could be from, since I do sometimes get gifts for the holidays from other friends online... but didn't know anyone from Russia.

 

But this is possibly the best thing ever! Thank you Vera, you're amazing. I'm still trying not to jump with glee. :)

I was just expecting a card, but I go this adorable box with all kinds of goodies. And a post card.

 

 

Butterflies! This is amazing because even though I was fortunate to be able to see Coldplay (on my birthday, too), I wasn't close enough to where I could snag some butterfly confetti.. And even though I always thought they were cute, I didn't realize exactly how cute they are until you actually hold them in your hand.

 

Candy, mittens, and more butterflies. Those chocolates are delicious, btw.

 

A weird, mitten, thumbs up! I've never actually owned mittens before, but I was talking to my friend today and telling him how cold my fingers are. (Okay, well, Texas cold. Which is about 40 degrees... so I guess not really much of any cold to non-Texans.)
