Tips for people coming to Mexico (and Latin America)

Oh yes I forgot to warm everyone about rain. Whilst is mainly confirmed that weather is chaotic and predictions are not reliable, rain in Mex City can be more crazy. Clouds come all of a sudden and leave all of a sudden. I hope those days rain be absent...

Hello Kelly!

Well about weather, as I said, rain is unpredictable, but most likely won't rain. Temperatures will span from 50 to 80 degrees farenheit. Nothing hot or cold compared

to Chicago I suppose. But bring a light jacket and/or a sweater.

And no, unfortunately I can't think of anything nice near the venue, or the zone. And yes the area surrounding the airport is not safe at all. Refrain from taking a walk ( besides there is nothing to see there). And people respecting your place? I doubt so.

And don't worry you are not going to be the only tourists nor blonde and tall

people :nice: Just don't act like you're scared or worried.

Thanks for the advice Ricardo, I'll bring something to snack on for the wait outside the venue but I'll try not to drink anything as showtime nears!!!....~Kelly

Extended forecast is calling for 74 degrees and partly cloudy both days... hope it stays that way!!!

And oh yeah, we'll be looking like tourists too. I'm an Asian American female and my friend couldn't be more blond nor fair-skinned.

That's my only concern so far, Mexico city's weather is so unpredictable I'm scared it might rain :uhoh:

And there should be porta-potties  outside of the venue for the people waiting in line, so if you HAVE to go, you can use those :nice:

Kelly, you can forget about being able to go to the bathroom or go get a drink once you're in the venue... that's just not gonna happen, it's most likely for people in GA to be pushing towards the front, 'cause eveyone wants to get closer to the stage. So if you leave your spot, you can be sure you're not getting it back nor be able to get anywhere close to where you were standing :\

And seriously girls, don't worry about looking like a tourist! I'm mexican, yet still whenever I'm there I barely say something and people are already asking me where I'm from :dozey: If there's something common in MC is tourists, just keep the basic precautions and you'll be fine :nice:

the coldplaying toolbar says mex city will be mainly sunny, no rains at all during the week :)

Hope so.

Guys at What time are you getting to the venue? Because I don't want to stand there 6 hours. :dozey:

You could sit for 6 hours :wacky:

You're going to the one on the 6th or the 7th Ricardo? 'Cause on the 6th I think I won't get there until noon, maybe 1 or 2pm? I honestly doubt either my sister or my cousin will want to get there sooner than that :dozey: On sunday I intend to get there sooner :wacky:

So your chances are that you'll have to get there early to get a half decent spot.... Or you could get there late and get a crappy one :cheesy:

In other words I'm screwed.

The closer the concert is, the chances of getting there early to get a good spot are are becoming fewer for me :dozey:

I'll try to get there as early as I can.

I don't think so... For some weird reason I think the queueing up at ridiculously early hours only applies to Mexico city, I'm not that worried about getting there super early for Guadalajara or Monterrey

I don't know yet at what hour I'm going to get the 6th, but I think it'll be late  . But the 7th I will try to arrive at 9 or 10 am or so.

^^^

Same with me :nice:

Uhm.. I wouldn't be so sure. I know I can't compare it (by several reasons), but there was people queuing outside the 3 de marzo since saturday afternoon for Metallica's concert yesterday. I know it's not going to be like that for Coldplay but I want to get a good place...

I just hope I get everything fixed so I can get a good spot.

Ohhhhh :stunned:

Then let's hope the Coldplay fans in Guadalajara are not so.... hardcore

I know... by this point I wish they were all posers (so they all arrive late to queue) and then, once the concert starts real fans so they can sing really loud and make the boys come back:P

I'm hoping to get there in the morning (10am or a bit later) However I don't think I'll be able to :\

F-----ikhdaudfuasfgcudszgfudshvuhdsvu----k

I am arriving sooooooooooooooooooooooo deathly late!!!:(

for march 6th coldplaymx members are getting there by 9am

Just your passport.

And fill a small insigniicant paper, the ones that say where are you from, why are you here, etc. Nothing complicated.

And for fucks sake, don't loose your bloody ticket!

yeah with the concert so close a lot of people have started joining the forum! in the list we're over 40 now that have confirmed to go but several wont be able to get there by 9am. for sunday there's just few people and I think they're not getting there that early.

It will be quite fun, some of us are getting t-shirts of the club, we're making crowns to put on during viva la vida (I painted 2 already that I got from burger king) and we're <<no se como se dice inflar globos jajajaja>> blowing balloons?

check out my crowns, I have one spare, if anyone says to get there early and meet us I can reserve it :D

Thanks, Pris....I'm not really worried anyway. & good advice about leaving my spot-I will stop drinking early in the que!

Hope so.

We plan on getting there pretty early I think....10:00 maybe??? Maybe we can sort of help each other out in line...it's worked out well for me at other shows so maybe here as well.

Ohh, 40 people? That's not that much considering it's a stadium gig, I thought you'd say it was a lot more.... I just hope I get a good spot! :bomb:

I wanted to make a crown too, but didn't have the time :disappointed: Maybe I can run into a burger king in Mexico city, get a crown, and paint over it while waiting in line outside the venue! :idea2:

I'm 90% sure I'll wear my yellow Coldplaying Wembley tee on saturday, so if you see a girl wearing that, it's me! :cheesy:
