What are your methods of escaping from depression?...

I've been on a million meds for depression but nothing really works well. I hate anti-depressants they just made me feel numb. I still get depressed a lot but I realize it's a chemical imbalance and I don't play into it and think negative thoughts. If I can I like to exercise when depressed, Run or play racquetball. When I was young I was a fool and when I was depressed thought horrible thoughts that lead to being more depressed and that led to doing stupid things.

:stunned:

You're kidding))))I've been playing for 6 years but...I can say I'm playing ok, like a more or less usual amateur:baby: What about you?...

You are not a fool anymore, right?:thinking::)

I think sometimes all is needed is time and some alterations in life

No, Instead of taking out my depression on myself I take it out on a racquetball.

:)

Oh, that's great!

I'm not very good in playing on public, so no serious successful competitions yet:\

oh...we are going to create a two(three)-times-a-week-tennis-players group:cool::P

What are your x-days?:laugh3:

mine:mon, thu

mc_squared:fri,sun

In summer I actually play at least four times a week if the weather's good.

In winter Wednesdays and Sundays, with the occasional match another day if I'm lucky.;)

Hmm I'm the type of person that doesn't quite never knows why they are down but just feels it..

Hmm I normally go for a walk (fresh air)

work out

take a bath

read a book (to focus on other things)

sing

listening to music (although some music make you more sad than happy..you just gotta figure out which one makes you feel better in a way)

writing sometimes helps too

watch comedy like curb your enthusiasm! (never fails:D)
