as much as i loved coldplay, i never realized it was them

God...

I remember the first time I heard Coldplay.

I was at their first gig in Camden laurel tree.

Their music back then was...ok.

I was visiting a friend, and he had three tickets, so we went together with his sister. It was pretty good.

"Panic" was a bit different to Don't Panic, it was more like the Blue Room version.

For some reason, I can't really remember most else...

The first time? I'd like to say while listening to Weird Al Yankovic's polka cover of songs from 2005, and he covered Speed of Sound. I liked the song, so I bought X&Y. Never listened to it until 2008, a month after I bought Viva La Vida after hearing it on the radio and fangasming.

The 1st time i heard Coldplay is when my sister put on yellow on her ipod back like 5 years ago. Then i heard Fix You on youtube and loved them ever since. It got me thru my mom's cancer ordeal. I been listening to them ever since and now my sister, Tanya, thinks im obssessed :) <3 <3

many years ago, when the yellow video was shown on latin america

I was 8 years old and I turned the radio on in my room and "Yellow" was playing. It seriously blew my mind. Hah. I've been obsessed ever since. :laugh3:

When i was 3 or 5 years old :D My brother bought "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" CD and I really liked it :D

As for me it was Clocks, in my parent's car . It hit me, it was hypnotizing . I was in a bubble for 5 mins ... There was just me and the song, I forgot what surronded me ... I was 13 at the time .

Yellow. 2000. I was minding my own business and then Coldplay were on CNN, and they showed a bit of the Yellow video clip and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen...

clocks

on holiday to France. way to long ride, and everybody eccept my dad and me was sleeping.

all the time french music, but then clocks came on. only thing I remember of that holiday..

hearing clocks was the best part :P

I was like 9 back then..

But I totaly fell in love when my parents let me watch the toronto show in 06 on TV, it was shown at 01.30 in the morning =D

These stories are awesome. I love hearing that people are as mesmerized by and into Coldplay as I am. Kinda doesn't make me feel so weird anymore. Thanks, guys. For real. :)

The first Coldplay song I ever heard was Speed of Sound, when it was a new song, I saw the music video on TV. I was about 12 at the time, and I really liked the cool colours on the screen in the music video and the singing. I then heard Fix You, and really liked it. I also knew clocks and amsterdam very early on. Those were the 4 songs I knew. I also knew Yellow, but thought it was a below average song, if you can believe it! I didn't like Yellow at all for a long time.

Even though I'm only 19, most of my life I've only listened to classic rock, so I don't really know that many recent bands lol. I'd heard of Coldplay before, but didn't really know their music. But I first heard Speed Of Sound on the radio last year in my art class at school (yeah, we got to listen to the radio in school!), and I asked the closest person to me "WHAT IS THIS SONG?!" And my life has been exponentially better since then :D Sure, Viva was my first Coldplay CD, but over the course of a month, I had all of them, and nowI'm obsessed, and I love my obsession.
