New Coldplay Christmas Song 2010! Christmas Lights // behind-the-scenes footage in first post (parts
Beautiful. Coldplay is cementing themselves in the world of music with this and LP5. Viva La Vida made everyone who wasn't listening already turn their heads and give an ear. LP5 is going to blow the doors off of them. That said, I want the music video to come out on iTunes too. :D Merry early Chrismas Coldplaying!

Coldplay lined up to play at American Music Awards? (21-Nov-2010)
Such weird timing. I can't see them playing anything Viva related now that they've gone so far down the new album's rabbit hole...but it also seems too early to release anything new unless LP5 gets released in spring instead of the summer... It's very odd. Either way I'd love to see some new stuff.

The Songwriting Thread
Hey guys, I'm having a really hard time with this song, can anyone help me out? Look at the stars Look how they shine for you And everything you do Yeah, they were all purple I came along I wrote a song for you And all the things you do And it was called "Purple" So then I took my turn Oh what a thing to have done And it was all purple Your skin Oh yeah, your skin and bones Turn into something beautiful And you know, You know I love you so You know I love you so I swam across I jumped across for you Oh what a thing to do 'Cause you were all purple I drew a line I drew a line for you Oh what a thing to do And it was all purple Your skin Oh yeah your skin and bones Turn into something beautiful And you know For you I'd bleed myself dry For you I'd bleed myself dry It's true, look how they shine for you Look how they shine for you Look how they shine for Look how they shine for you Look how they shine for you Look how they shine Look at the stars Look how they shine for you And all the things that you do

The Eno Effect
I think Coldplay is extremely lucky to have Eno on board. I know we all want another album like AROBTTH, but as superfans (and we're ALL superfans if we're signed up for this site) we can't be too greedy. As a musician myself, I've experienced how boring writing music in one particular style can be, and I know that the guys want to evolve musically. Eno is helping them do just that. We don't want to get to a point where they become tired of writing music because they've explored all of the options they could in one style. Viva was the beginning of a new, more musically interesting Coldplay while still retaining everything that we loved from the previous albums. Personally, I'm excited to see where they go next; and I'm sure the band feels the same way.

Viva la Hova // pg6 - REMASTERED! (As of 24 Sept 2010) | Coldplaying.com Talks exclusively to Produc
I actually really like it so far. I'm only a few tracks in, but Public Speeding blew my mind. I agree the chipmunk voice is kind of weird, but I can live with it. I make this kind of mash-up stuff sometimes so I know the effort that went into these tracks and they're very impressive. I love Jay-Z, and I love Coldplay. This album does a pretty good job putting them together :D
