I've been looking in several places and found some pianos, so which on should i buy?

These are my options kind of in order of the ones that is most interesteing:

1.

Yamaha Clavinova CLP-260 - 400 dollars

I think this one is the one i'm going to buy, but i really need advice. This one is used though.

2.

Yamaha NP-30 - 300 dollars

This one was the first i looked on but apparently it doesn't have weight in the keys which is really important (Said store manager)

3.

Casio PX120 - 600 dollars

This one was the store managers tip for me, but it's really expensive.

I need help! :dozey:

Julia must be jealous of you. :\

:bomb: Those ARE NOT PIANOS xD

Whatever you do, dear Jesus don't get the $300 one. Looks like a peice of shit. You need to pick one with a similar key action to an acoustic piano. And I can tell by looking at that (and the price) that that one probably has a shit action. Maybe the Clavinova would be best.

I'll bet she is :smug:

if you want a piano with lots of different sounds get the yamaha dgx630

But that one's really expensive :\

Yes I am jealous...:wacky:

my advice is:

Buy the Clavinova.

The NP-30 is not even a thing close to a piano....it's rather a keyboard. The keys are very similar to a keyboard. I seriously do not know why Yamaha created this product, because it is totally senseless in my eyes. The sound is crap, the keys are crap and it doesn't even have special functions like a keyboard...:wtf:

I can't say much about the Casio...but as far as I know Casio doesn't prduce the best instruments....

So my advice is: Go for the Clavinova. CLP-260 sounds like an older model, but if you compare it to the other 2 it is probably the best choice. The Yamaha Clavinova models aren't bad in general....they are better than the Yamaha YDP models....

So, this is my advice:nice:

I work in a music shop btw...:wacky:

I had a very good acoustic Yamaha piano a time ago.

But found out about the Yamaha Clavinova piano's and sold my acoustic piano to buy a Clavinova.. it's alot better! :)

Clavinova's don't have the most authentic sound, but they feel really great.

I actually have the second one in my dorm room ONLY because I have a YPG-625 at home and the one I initially picked out (with weighted keys) didn't fit in the car. I would go crazy if it was my one and only piano as its tinny, short and just doesn't do the piano justice. If you are considering a clav, and aren't worried about portability, then skip it altogether.

My initial suggestion is the clav, but casio's can be both really great and marginal depending on your own preference. I've loved and hated some casio's that were equally expensive.
