Love Coldplay. Never quite got Radiohead. But Muse beat them both. ;)

Hard to compare for me ... according to me : they're really good both! and they are complementary, I can not do without either one or the other :D I knew Radiohead before Coldplay but both mean lot of things in my life so ...

It might sound weird but, I don't think it's a matter of opinion.

Radiohead are better musicians, they're a hell of a lot more influential than Coldplay, their albums have made more of an impact on the music industry (haha) and they just fucking pwn.

I don't really have an important opinion as i am a n00b to Radiohead music and I've only been listening to them for like a month... but I agree that they've got more to offer than Coldplay... I mean I <3 Coldplay to death :wacky:

 

But as far as musicians and just overall amazing ness when it it comes right down to the music, it's Radiohead...

 

I mean, take Chris Martin's sexy self out of the picture and Coldplay might as well be a sorta shit band with whiny predictable songs... :dozey: :love:

I voted "both." I like them both for different reasons and refuse to choose between them.

Sir Martin is Coldplay, but Thom Yorke is not radiohead, just comapre two Johny's and it will all be clear.But offcourse we all love and our Johny boy even if he can only dream of being a musician like greenwood.

Actually, it IS a matter of opinion. You can't actually find facts to prove that one is better than the other. Music isn't that black and white.

 

I respect your opinion about Muse. However, I don't see how songs being somewhat the same (which I don't agree with, anyway, but that's another matter entirely) equates to suckage. Frédéric Chopin wrote almost always for piano, and yet his music is absolutely amazing.

Well as far as I'm concerned, Buckland has stated his position in the band and that is to create atmpospherics with his guitar. And do you know what.... know one does atmosphere better than Coldplay, and without Buckland, they'd be stripped of all that BEAUTIFUL atmposphere he creates with his guitar. Why bother with non sensicle riffs when you can make a band?

That is the weirdest example I've ever heard. How does a piano correlate with music sounding the same? The capabilities of any instrument are infinite. Most great bands almost always write music for guitar, would we presume that they all sound the same? Its not the instrument that differentiates an artist, but the the type of music they compose for it. I think everyone, especially Eddie, knows that.
