then one woman (can’t remember her name :@) rung the door bell over at the bakery, they told her to wait on the bench but she stood outside the beehive.

Hi Kat_iveson, now I remember you! I perfectly remember the name of the woman who rang at the doorbell at the Bakery (and who also complained about them not coming on the boat the day before) because I saw her! I won't give her name (since she's no more a 15 y-o teenager) here BUT I must say that I have been shocked by this attitude and would advise people never to do this again, it is totally unappropriate!:stunned: If we want the guys to be so nice with fans again as they were yesterday with us, this kind of "accident" must never happen again, it is intrusive, unappropriate, I can't really find my words in english, sorry....but I'm tempted to say "stupid"! I'd like to say that I agree with people who say that we came on the boat trip because we wanted to, and that the band doesn't owe anything to anyone and I find it cheeky to reproach the band for not showing on the boat!I had told in the french thread before the event that some people had high hopes and would be disappointed, and that we had to expect only what was announced! But I must admit that I was a bit disappointed too since what was announced didn't happen either...But Phil explained why the next day and I understand... So this was the negative point of my comment, now let's talk about the positive part !:)

I was LUCKY enough yesterday to meet all the band, I was talking with Kat, Laura and Poopoopidoo when I saw Chris going out of the Beehive, we crossed the road and I introduced myself, telling him that I was on the boat the day before , that it was great fun and I couldn't wait to see the video! We made a picture and he signed my AROBTTH cover, he asked me to spell my name, he seemed to find it strange lol, then I saw Jonny, he told me they had worked until 3 in the morning, that they were very cold and asked how we were on the boat...I asked him for a pic and as we were starting Guy arrived and I asked him if he wanted to be on the picture too and he agreed, they were all so sweet!!! They also sighed my cover, so did Will but I don't know why I didn't ask him for a pic too.... next time , I hope :\ Then Phil arrived after the boys had left , he was sooooooooo nice and took a lot of time to talk to us.... He said that he was very confused for not beeing on the boat the day before since it had been announced and apologized, he said that we would definitely be on the video, that we did a great job etc..... He also said that there was again a lot of work to do on the album and that we had to be patient....etc.... These two days in London were so emotionally intense, I'm so happy right now!

Here are the pics!:)

oh and I also want to apologize, I couldn't make it to the meeting yesterday evening, I wasn't very well, probably due to the cold on the boat.... I had promised to Anna and I would have loved to go there since we had arrived too late at the Anchor tap the other day :(

i'm 13 years old so of course i couldnt go, those that are complaining are pathetic, i wish i could of gone..no matter how cold it was or even if hadnt met the band, i love coldplay and all of guys are here are fans...so dnt look at the materialistic side of this..just be satistfied that you're a coldplayer and are going to appear in coldplay's video....and its very rude to ring the Bakery's bell..i thought we wanted LP5 to be released quickly and nicely, ring on the bell is not helping anyone.....tsk tsk

i want to ring the bell and ask for the best band in the world, and when coldplay come to the door ill go "o sorry, thought this was radioheads studio...see ya'" and just walk away..... jk though, Coldplay ftw!

I'm confused....you said she's no more a 15 year old. So is it a grown woman or a young girl. Either way I hope the rest of you let her know that it was completely unacceptable to ring the doorbell.

oh thanks ! If you want for the picture, before he just told me not to watch his gloves! :laugh3: It was the first time I was talking to him, he's a really really nice person

The more I think of it, the more annoyed I am that one inconsiderate fan rang the doorbell. That is crossing a line, a boundary, that should never have been crossed. I was outside the Beehive in August, and I would never have done that....too scared. I think it is disrespectful and the person who did that should be ashamed of themselves.:inquisitive:

I would never ever dare to do that, that's completely off limits to me :stunned:

I agree with what you say, you guys are going to be part of a Coldplay video!! amazing story btw :nice: and lovely picture!

I can't believe the boys worked on Friday. Why didn't they stay home and sleep?

Haha what if they were recording, and you could hear the doorbell somewhere in the background?!

:laugh3:

A pizza delivery girl, perhaps?

:surprised: oo I wouldnt mind if someone with food rang the doorbell

I totally echo that. I had never met Phil before either, and I was mega-impressed with how friendly, helpful and down-to-earth he was.

Having already spent a substantial amount of time with the several of us who were there, he then re-emerged some minutes later with Chris.

We had no idea whether Chris was still around or not, so I'm pretty sure Phil had a lot to do with Chris's "appearance", for which we are all extremely grateful.

I think we all got the impression that Chris was (unsurprisingly) tired following the exertions of the night before, and this made it all the more incredible that he was still prepared to come over and talk to us all.

We all left on a real high after this, that's for sure, and after Chris and Phil disappeared up the road together, there were hugs all round! Together with the boat trip itself, and the evening meet-up on Friday, a truly amazing and unforgettable experience for all concerned.

Presumably because there was still a lot of work to do in the studio in connection with the Christmas Lights project.

There were no doubt deadlines to meet in terms of the single's release.;)

Hopefully they all managed to have a well-earned rest over the weekend.

Fixyougirl,

Out of all the negative comments, yours annoys me the most..The way you said" we took part in a clip without being rewarded"really just sickened me..

Im sorry if I'm coming across so badly, but your words just have such expectations in them..What would you have liked for a reward.???.

Have you ever given a gift without expecting one back or are you the type that needs to be "rewarded"when you give a gift...

THIS x 10000. Some people are never satisfied.

Why's it such a big deal? What's the point of having a door bell that's never rung? I wouldn't have done it either but I don't get what all the fuss is about.

Because we are extremely lucky as fans to know where they are based, however we should not abuse the privilege by badgering them and interrupting them while they are trying to work. It's one thing to be lucky enough to bump into them outside, I find it a little stalkery to be knocking on their door. And rude and obnoxious. Just my opinion as a respectful fan.

If it's just a far off span of the boat with the Coldplayers releasing the balloons, I'm just gonna tell everyone, "Hey, I was in a Coldplay Video!" They'll never know:D:P:laugh3::laugh3:

Great Idea!

I would do that too, but I was at a party at the time it happened :laugh3:

:rolleyes:Maybe, it really wasn't clear, but so many felt it was wrong and we really don't know if it was a fan or as you put it a Pizza delivery girl.:P

 If any of them were expecting a delivery of any sort, pizza or otherwise, they would have just taken it from the person. They wouldn't order something and then say, "oh, I can't take it right now, you need to go across the street and wait from me/us to come out to you when I'm ready." That would be rude of them. And that would expose them even more than necessary.

Why's it such a big deal? What's the point of having a door bell that's never rung? I wouldn't have done it either but I don't get what all the fuss is about.
It is a place of business. If you are not involved in any way with running the business, there is absolutely no reason for you to be ringing the doorbell. Imagine if all fans who ever went there rang the doorbell. We wouldn't see LP5 for another 3 years because they couldn't get anything done. It's rude to the boys, and it's rude and disrespectful to the fans.

That's just my opinion. But I'm pretty sure 99.42% of the other people here would have the same opinion.

Plus, I have reliable information that the person who rang the bell was indeed a fan...,and somebody who was on the boat.

I'm part of the 99.42% :)

If /when I finally get to London, I'll do my best to go there and walk down that street, hoping (as I'm sure all of those who have done it in the past have) to bump into one of the guys, but I wouldn't go so far as to ring the doorbell, that just feels wrong :\

i just don't get why ppl dont realize that they are working in the studio

and not there doing nothing

i want them working on the next album not meeting a few ungrateful fans:veryangry2:

Haleema, just the minority are ungrateful, most of the people seemed really kind and respectful and we should be thankful the band does come out to meet fans.

i know thats wht i don't get why they won't be happy with being in a coldplay video:rolleyes:
