Meeting the band

 

After a disappointing cruise, I was delighted to meet the band before the Beehive. Actually, when I think all those fans that came from far away to work on a boat to make a video clip for free was really unfair. The only thing I enjoyed was to meet you after chatting on here for a few years. We were only thanked to have taken part to this video clip and got only a coffee/thee and tiny sandwiches instead of at least a gift signed by the band. I'm sure people that spent so much money for transportation and hotel fees think the same. Everybody thought we would see the guys on the boat. :embarrassed: To meet the band in the flesh made up for it.

You signed up for a boat trip, not for a meet and greet with the band, maybe your expectations were to high.

I didn't want to get paid but only to meet the band as everyone expected to and have at least a signed CD as a gift.

Plus it's not like they were just a few fans, you were 100, the guys would've gone crazy..

Indeed but it was in everyone's mind, as they had to leave their cameras at the entrance, it was not to take pictures or recording songs and it's normal as it wasn't released yet. The fact is we took part to a clip without being rewarded, no meal and me and my guest were shocked to be compelled to pay for a drink. We didn't buy any drink anyway nor others that were seating with us.

I can totally see where you're coming from and I honestly even do understand your feelings as hopes/expactations always happen and one gets carried away by them easily. :(

 

But I think it's a little unfair now to say that you were disappointed by the band/the people working for CP as it was mentioned before that 'only' Phil, Miller & Matt would be there and even though they weren't (which was explained afterwards) you just can't blame the CP HQ/the band for not meeting your hopes/dreams/expectations ... :confused:

Come on, being in a Coldplay video is BRILLIANT! Are they your favorite band?If you I think you should consider yourself really lucky. Not many fans can say they've been in their favorite band's video.I know I feel really lucky and I think a lot of people on this forum wish they had been there as well.
