so Desmond ran over Locke because he knew he'll get to Jack and maybe get fixed :O

he talked claire into meeting with ilana because he knew she'll meet Jack that way

Ooooh!! I really like these ideas, I had never thought of it that way! It would make a lot of sense, because I really am still having a hard time understand Desmond running down Locke.

I TOTALLY agree - that's gotta be the reason that Desmond ran down Locke. Desmond and Illana have to be angels or something...right?!?!

ALSO did anyone notice that the paramedics said that the wheelchair was smushed to pieces and probably saved his life...BUT in the end of "everybody loves hugo" it seemed completely undamaged and was far away from Locke lying on the ground.

What did Sun mean when she said "THAT'S him when she saw Locke @the hospital!

I'm thinking again that because she had a traumatic experience she had those flashes about alternate reality and she remembered seeing Locke?!?!?!

Whaaaaaatt!?!?! Last night was SO good!

Okay. Here's my peice.

So we found out that the smoke monster was Christian in season one. But, he used his body. He didn't use Locke's body....

someone PLEASE tell me that's not a continuity error. If it is, that's a pretty big one and, pretty embarrassing.

Anyways, Claire and Jack finally found out they are brother and sister which was nice, even though Claire's a nutcase.

Jin and Sun!! Ohh, what a sweet reunion! She got her English back! Which is weird to say out loud but still really nice!!!

Oh, and Sayiid definitley didn't kill Desmond. I think he's coming back over to the light side. :cheesy:

EDIT: Oh, and I loved when Sawyer said Lapidus looked like he just walked out of a Burt Reynolds movie.

:D, Sawyer, I love you.

I'm not sure he did use Christian's body. From what he said to Jack, you need to be dead for him to be able to look like you. If you're alive, he can't impersonate you.

Which makes me wonder if Hurley really is seeing Michael or if its another of Smokey's tricks.

Loved Jin & Sun's reunion :) and other Jin & Sun's baby is ok yay!

and there's something reassuring in Widmore's double cross. Having disliked him for so long, I wouldn't want him to go all wishy washy now

Yes!!!!!!!!! I did notice that, I think I even yelled something about it to the TV. :P I wonder if that has any significance.

That doesn't make sense. Christian was dead.

I dont think that Des is dead either. He cant be killed off so easily. It must be something dramatic

even though he is still important in the flash-sideways there must be something more with him on the island. I think Widmore will get him back and do whatever he wanted to do with him in the first place  and the smokey will be really pissed off

don't think i explained myself properly.

smokey doesn't need your body, he just needs you to be dead to be able to impersonate you.

which now i think about it makes me think he may try & impersonate des to widmore, believing des to be dead

^wow... that would totally make sense for him to be able to get into the camp! Good thinking!

indeed

+1

Could be. I'm glad someone brought something up that makes me believe it's not a continuity error. :P Thanks!

Wow. I haven't tought about that. But I hope he's not dead!

I can't wait to be tuesday. :P

But Jack was there when Hurley was talking to Michael, no? And he wasn't seing him. (Maybe I'm wrong and he arrived later.)

I think Michael is one of the purgatory-can't-move-on ghosts only Hurley can see. Why would Smokey leave his camp for a cozy little chat with Hurley?

By the way, what did Richards wife do to be stuck in purgatory? Do we know?

I don't think Smokey uses the bodies of dead people, just their image. If Christian's body were still in his coffin when Jack found him, it would be clear much, much earlier that there was "something" impersonating dead people. I guess it was best for the storyline to leave Jack (and the viewers) wondering what the deal with Christian was. According to what Smokey said last episode, the body of the dead person must be on the island, so that makes sense for Locke and Christian. But what about Walt? Was that Smokey too (I can't remember anymore ;;><) and if so, how does that work?

My head hurts.

It would make sense if Smokey was Michael because Michael told Hurley not to blow up the plan which is what Smokey would want.

Richards wife was the smoke monster.

I don't know about Walt.. good question.

I meant the Richards wife Hurley was talking to, not the one that appeared to him in the ship. You think both were Smokey?

Can Smokey choose to be visible to just one person? That was my way to distinguish him from Hurley's purgatory ghosts. :disappointed:

This is really random, but I have a kitty cat named Smokey. My sister and I have now changed his name to the Smoke Monster. It fits him well.

:D

Yeah, all that is very interensting but I can´t stop to think, every episode is more and more strange than the last. I mean, more questions and less answers: the history of Lost.

^SO true.

They should be starting to wrap up, and answer more things, shouldn't they? Nooo. Every episode is more confusing then the last.

:freak:

I've never been more curious to see an episode than I am to see this finale.

I've never been more curious to see an episode than I am to see this finale.
Seconded.

Obviously they cannot address every mystery, but they should err.. hurry a bit. :dozey: I don't care that not all questions will be answered, but what irks me is that the current storyline was started way too late. They could easily have filled 30 episodes with this Smokey/alternate universe stuff. I mean, 18 episodes, come on! :disappointed:

I guess the problem is that they aren't rushing. :sweatdrop:

I'm looking SO forward to the Smokey episode though. :wacky:

I have nothing useful to add to the conversation about this week's ep... I'm still confused as hell, but I loved how the Claire/Jack/Ilana/Des storylines intersected in the sideways world.

Anyway, nothing useful to add, but some LOST goodies I came across I thought you guys might be interested in. Sorry if you've all already seen these!

About the final night of programming- holy Lost-spectacular!

An interview with Cuse and Lindelof discussing the end of the series. I have not yet read it myself, but it's supposed to be spoiler-free.

I think the finale should just be Damon and Carlton sitting there explaining things to us. I want my answers! Now!

just finished the latest episode.

I'm impressed by Jack's leap of faith. and something tells me that he will not fall for Locke. As for Desmond, definitely still alive. glad to see that Sun and Jin are back together, but i found it rather cheesy. :\

overall, i was pretty pissed at the end of the episode because I WANT MORE.
