What I don't understand is why the Smoke Monster would change from Christian to Locke?

Maybe because the SM would want to take the form of someone who more people would listen to (like Locke). And maybe the SM never wanted people to discover that he actually was not Locke.

This does make sense. Also perhaps the Smoke Monster knew that Jack was a leader, so perhaps he was waiting for the right moment to present himself as his father to guide Jack to guide the others or something.

Can't wait for this weeks episode and I can't believe how close to the end we are.

yeah, the show is coming to an end. :blank:

i finished the 'Everybody Loves Hugo' episode last night. this parallel world thing is beautiful. and the whispers are explained, i'm quite happy about that.

I don't think Desmond is dead.

and as for Jack's group and Smoke Monster group meeting up, it's going to be interesting, the next episode. and what's going to happen to Richard and co.

can't wait!

Also, don't forget that Christian's coffin was empty when Jack found it after they crashed. :uhoh:

:uhoh:

Could that be a continuity error?

Probably too big of a detail, but it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Excuse me if I have missed something but...when Jack confronted Flocke why was there the dramatic music and the long stares like it was something important?

^there probably is going to be some sort of conflict that will occur between the two. The show has always been about Locke vs. Jack/Faith vs. Science

Yeah, it shall be interesting but I thought they had already met recently.

I'm pretty sure they didn't. I mean Jack saw Locke's dead body, but I don't think he has seen him since.

Oh yeah because there was the group with Locke going to Jacob at the end of season 5 and then Jack's lot with the bomb, I just thought they crossed paths at some point!

I figured when I saw that that they were trying to tell us that this meeting between groups will be uber-important, maybe a turning point for the season or that Jack sees now that it was a reeeeeeally bad idea to go along with Hurley on this one. Who knows, we'll see.

but didn't Ilana mentioned that the smoke monster would take the image of Locke?

^Hmm... so smokey took over Christian's body after 815 crashed and then took over Locke's body after Ajira crashed. I hadn't made that connection!

and yeah, iPsy, the ominous music was played to highlight the tension/conflict between the two, but also because Jack hadn't seen Flocke walking and talking yet.

Here's a little something fun to kill the time til tonight!

I got 16/20 :\

Flocke didn't exactly take over Locke's body because it was still in the coffin when Flocke was getting Jacob killed in the last season finale. Otherwise they wouldn't have discovered that Locke was actually fake. That's just a small detail though. :nice:

I got 15 on the quiz. Can't remember all that stuff. No free chicken for life. :disappointed:

good point. :)

which is interesting, since Christian's body was actually missing from the coffin.

It all just hurts my head. In a good way.

Same here. :D

I read somewhere that they are going to release a Lost encyclopedia this summer. I'm so going to get that. :surprised: If it's any good, that is.

Here is the link: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Encyclopedia-Tara-Bennett/dp/0756665949]Amazon.com: Lost Encyclopedia (9780756665944): Tara Bennett, Paul Terry: Books[/ame]

Guys, I know that Christian became the smoke monster for a little while (eg getting claire to leave baby aaron), BUT how do we explain those other island hallucinations (eg was it kate with the horse?) Can the monster switch forms like that - ie appearing as Richard's wife in the blackrock too?

PS i got a 19/20 on that quiz - good find Jen :) In that quiz it asked about the well though - i assumed that it was the same one that JL fell down way back when and the surroundings just looked different because it was a different decade. anyone else think that?

I agree that Des still has to be alive but he was a major creeper last week, and looked like he was intent to kill JL at the school.

Des is definitely still alive and kicking somewhere, and I will throw a fit if he is not :P

he's definitely got to be alive.

I think that there's still more for him to do on the island and the way the ended it seemed open ended.

Also not to mention that if Juliet could survive a fall like she did in the last episode of the season, then Desmond should pretty much be unharmed.

what a great episode. I still don't think that Desmond is dead. Just at sayid's look at locke makes me believe he's not dead. Plus anyway if he was dead it'd be the most anti-climatic way to do it considering how long we've know desmond.

I wonder what is going to happen to the losties that decided to go to widmore. I don't think they will be killed either because it to me just seems like a very anti-climatic way to do it. Plus from the previews of next weeks episode it's not going to happen. Though it does seem that locke will somehow get into the camp. I personally think that claire will do something that sabotages widmore and lets him in.

I still don't believe that Jack is going to be on Locke's side so easily. Clearly he's becoming more of a believer of the island and I think he has come to a point where he won't leave the island. I mean clearly his life was bad off the island, so why would he go back to it?

I still think there will be some sort of conflict between Locke and Jack. The show has spent so much of it's time with them that they have to have some conflict.

It was great though to get to see Sun and Jin reunited!

Great episode... hard to believe how few episodes are left and that's it!

Ehhh, this show has really gone downhill in season six I"m thinking.

I dunno but, nothing really surprises me anymore, and all the characters are doing the same stuff they've always done. Kate's being secretive, Sawyer is conning the Smoke Monster disguised as Locke, Jack is doubting everything, Sayyid is verging on being emo now.

And yea, nothing really relevant is happening at all in the alternate universe. I thought it was cool that Jack went to Locke and gave his business card, saying he may make him walk again, but it didn't go anywhere after that...well, yet.

ANd I dunno, this season is about an all-out sort of end-game happening on the island, but it really doesn't feel as urgent and high-stakes as season four. Well sure, the fate of the world apparently hangs in the balance, but we've seen that so many times before, haven't we?

so Desmond ran over Locke because he knew he'll get to Jack and maybe get fixed :O

he talked claire into meeting with ilana because he knew she'll meet Jack that way

he talked hurley into meeting with Libby

maybe he had to do something with kate meeting with sawyer.

he's the time fixer. but I wonder how he knows all that :O

I'm a master of dp :whip:

:freak::freak::freak::freak:

Whaaaaaatt!?!?! Last night was SO good!

Okay. Here's my peice.

So we found out that the smoke monster was Christian in season one. But, he used his body. He didn't use Locke's body....

someone PLEASE tell me that's not a continuity error. If it is, that's a pretty big one and, pretty embarrassing.

Anyways, Claire and Jack finally found out they are brother and sister which was nice, even though Claire's a nutcase.

Jin and Sun!! Ohh, what a sweet reunion! She got her English back! Which is weird to say out loud but still really nice!!!

Oh, and Sayiid definitley didn't kill Desmond. I think he's coming back over to the light side. :cheesy:

EDIT: Oh, and I loved when Sawyer said Lapidus looked like he just walked out of a Burt Reynolds movie.

:D, Sawyer, I love you.

Like the comment by Sawyer to Hurley, "Anakin, who's that?"

I don't exactly know about that in terms of Locke getting run over to get to Jack. To me it seemed that there was quite some anger in desmonds expression, which would make sense since in "normal time" it was Locke that tossed him down the well (remember Desmond has no clue he's the Smoke Monster). It would be I guess interesting or fate though that even if Desmond was set to kill locke that he gets to Jack.
